does DXM withdrawals last? I have been wanting to get off this drug but I can't shake it. Everyday I waku up and everything is in balsk and whit. Noo color. I get physacial withsrwawls as well as mental. And It used to be easier when I was younger. I guess that was because I was tntroduced to so many other drugs. I just don't want to keep living lke this. I just want to be happy on life not fro, some pill.

this is the extreme high dose scenario but, depending on your dose you may not want to stop cold turkey. dxm is an ssri and like many anti depressents you can get seizures and brain zaps from sudden withdrawal. it may take weeks to taper off and it may take a few months to feel normal again

DXM is pretty close to a short term SNRI, I would expect w/ds to last up to 6 months in the most severe cases

You may be able to get off faster by titrating down (reducing your dose every few days)
