How long Will my PAWS last.

^^thats also one of my main paws symptoms, lack of motivation..it really tajkes a kick in my ass to get things done...believe me, there has been many times when i have debated getting on subuxone maintenance...i miss the energy/enthusiasm/motivation that opiates gave me..

yea, i can see what you guys are talking about as far as motivation goes, i know im only about 2 weeks into being clean, and most of my physical side affects are gone expect for some lethargy and lack of sleep, but just getting up off the couch takes a lot of motivation. I wish i could be on suboxone right now, but at the same time i dont want to depend on anything to feel normal, i just wanna be able to live life, without having to worry everyday about coping, or when im gunna have to refill a prescription or something. But believe me, i wish i had an endless supply of money/ opiates so i could live the rest of my life that way, but i know it will never happen, so i think just staying clean is the best thing for me, instead of living in a constant worry.

^ Good for you. Don't worry, your motivation will come back. My point in my last post was that in the long run I'm actually MORE motivated when I'm not on strong opiates all the time. Suboxone is the exception for me because it doesn't provide any kind of a rush, just a mellow subtle high.
You're eventually going to get bored just sitting around and will want to get off the couch and go out and do something. When this happens, don't use your motivation to get more opiates, try to find a new hobby or do something constructive with your life. Good luck.

Ya man i feel ya... appreciate the advice for sure, i been exercising and doing a lot of reading, just tryin to keep my mind right, and gettin mentally prepared for rehab.

I was hooked on about 120mg OXY per day. basically I was forced to quit cold turkey because it stopped becomming available. I went through some pretty nasty physical w/d's for 9 days or so. It was pretty wierd. One day would be real bad, the next would be real real bad, the thirrd would be back to just real bad...and so forth.

I didnt sleep for those nine nights, afterwhich i did feel a bit better but with an INSANE lethargy and uncomfortableness (aka PAWS). Its hard for me to remember exactly how long those symptoms lasted. Looking back on it the whole mess blends into one grossly depressing situation. I guess after a few weeks i started feeling more energy and less of the lethargy.

I did have to go to work after day 7, which sucked, but forcing myself to move around seemend to help, as did going to the gym.

I know the mental part of getting clean is such a pain. You want to know when you will start feeling better and the depression and thoughts of worthlessness make the recovery time seem everlasting. But you are way over the hill at this point man. Like ppl recommended, get exercise, eat right, take that multi-vitamin. Try not to think too far ahead, there is no quick fix. just do the best you can one day at a time and sooner or later you'll be looking back thinking "wow when did i stop feeling like shit?"

just dont get hooked again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya man...def gunna try not to get hooked again, cuz i neverrr want to experience what i went through the past couples weeks again, just gotta battle that lil voice in my head that is telling me its ok to go out and "just have one more"
