This week, i went overboard. From Wednesday until Saturday night/Sunday morning i popped everday.
Wednesday - 2 Red Xboxes
Thurdsay - 1 Blue Nike, 6-8 Red Xboxes (I lost count)
Friday - 1 Green Nike
Saturday - 2 Green Nikes, 1 Green Nike, 1 Red Xbox

i consistently take 5-htp and always stock up on vitamins after every roll (b-complex, omega 3's, calcium, etc etc.)

i am definitely going to stop popping untill november 21st (Dj Tiesto World Tour)
is it likely that my brain chemistry, (dopamine, seratonin, etc etc. levels) will return to normal by then?

Also, i've never had the experience before when combining coke and e, but whenever i stood up i was having a re-roll for the continuing hours after i came down. any connection?

any other supplements, medications or certain foods that would help speed up the process?

Oh wow you went way overboard. I wouldn't roll for nov 21st since you should take a good break after rolling 4 days straight. You just put your brain through some intense shit and thats how you cause permenant or at least long-term damage. I don't think your brain will be fully recovered by the 21st of nov at all.

Dont consistently take 5htp...you only need it for the recovery week. Using it constantly will tamper with your serotonin and downregulate receptors....

Don't roll on the 21st, wait a lot longer... You did 15 odd pills over 4-5 days. Try to wait till the end of the year atleast?

There's a good chart that used to be on theDEA.org where he shows how it takes a few weeks for your brain to recover after a single use, but with subsequent doses, you basically add more time to get back to normal. It sounds like your serotonin system got a pretty good smacking from the side effects you're posting, so take some time off. The 21st is like 33 days away, so that would be nearing the ideal time to take off, but it's still possibly not long enough to get back to normal serotonin levels and receptor activation. If you do take pills that night, I'd sure try to steer clear of them for awhile after that dose, too, to give plenty of time to rehabilitate.

To the OP: you should really follow everyone's advise here in the thread... You should NOT drop again on nov 21st, as it's not enough recovery time.

I have a feeling that you're going to do it anyway, so best of luck to you!

Have some faith in the man, he's asking about getting himself healthy,
even if Tiesto is a big one.
.
Good luck, hope you're not too depressed in the coming days.

Hi landocomando,

I hope you take the time to read this. I did almost exactly what you did a little over a year ago (14months). I took 1 pill monday, 2 tuesday, 2 wednesday, 3 thursday, 4 friday, and 5 saturday. A total of 17 pills. I took A LOT of ecstasy in a VERY short period of time. Since then I haven't rolled again. I will never ever do X again, for the side affects that are still lingering 14 months after the use. I have had friends who have rolled TONS more than I have but each one always says that they spaced them out. I have yet to meet someone, besides you, who has rolled a week straight. I don't mean to scare you at all, I just hope that I can encourage you not to take it anymore. It's not worth it, TRUST ME MAN PLEASE!!!

From my personal experience with ecstasy, this is what I learned from it. (affects vary from person to person)

Ecstasy, THE GOOD:

-Sudden burst of energy
-Glow-like glaze over everything (similar to acid or shrooms)
-Feelings and thoughts of well-being and positivity
-Enhanced senses: Taste, Sight, Hear, Touch, LOVE!
-Boosts your self esteem and confidence through the roof
-Music sounds spectacular
-Sheer euphoria for about 4 hours.

Ecstasy, THE BAD:

1. Destroyed my brain(main one). If your brain is missing matter, or not functioning correctly, consequently you're entire life will suffer. The brain is essentially EVERYTHING that makes you you. Ecstasy is extremely neuro-toxic or in simpler terms "brain poison."
2. Significantly decreased reaction time which can be very embarrassing and annoying. The time it takes to come up with an answer or a thought. (conversations, trying to look at something or find something, etc...)
3. Impaired ability to focus on one thing at a time.
4. LOSS OF SHORT AND LONG TERM MEMORY----This is a BIG one and can be one of the KEY reasons for depression in my opinion after ecstasy use, besides the obvious chemical imbalance the drug causes.
5. Visual memory significantly worse. I play the piano and have played for 15 years, after the X my ability to remember (visually) the keys and patterns in the keys was shockingly worse. It's very sad. I am not as good as I used to be as a direct outcome of taking ecstasy. I can't even enjoy it like I used to.
6. Depersonalization: I am not the same person I am after that week. Ecstasy has turned me into a manic, depressed, sad, lonely, cynical, stupid lump of flesh. (However, I still try to see the good.)
7. Cognitive abilities down the drain. How do I explain this? Translating my thoughts into words is near impossible sometimes, which makes me not want to talk to anyone. I'm afraid of constantly being misunderstood and being viewed as and ignorant uneducated idiot. I'm telling you, ecstasy kills your brain.
8. Oh, as I was typing this i thought of another change that ecstasy made in me. I am slightly dyslexic now, mixing up letters or numbers constantly. It's really annoying, and puts me in a bad mood all the time.
9. Ecstasy puts you so high up on the emotional spectrum of low to high that life just isn't as cool as it used to be after using the drug. It's hard to find interest in anything these days.
10. PARANOIA/PSYCHOTIC! Yeah, I do believe that ecstasy caused this in me. It's something I have had to work on for a little over a year. It gets better.

This drug can affect your life. It affected mine. I find it hard to want to live everyday because of the dibilitating affects this drug has had on me. You only live once, make it count.

The list goes on, i dont really know what else to say. If anyone has had similar affects please reply, because I sometimes feel like I'm all alone in this. Especially those of feeling stupid, inability to relate with people, paranoia, loss of interest in life, disturbing thoughts, horrible esteem, extreme self consciousness, and impaired cognitive abilities.

We are the E generation. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it is 7 years away, i don't give a fuck. I just want to be normal again.

Listen to this guy. Rolling 4 times close together is infitely worse than rolling 4 times spaced apart. A month break isn't ideal, its good for a while but bigger breaks need to be taken every now and then. A month is certainly not enough if you took 4 days in a row.

papernotebook your not alone. Their are many people on this site going through the same thing. Its seems many people who had the same problem say that it gets much better eventually. Not sure how long it will take you but I have confidence that sooner or later you will feel better.14 months is a good amount of time, I would think that you might get some eerious relief this year hopefully but everyone is different. A friend of mine abuse harder than you with constant frequent usage, got even more messed up and seemed to mostly recover in 2 years, was looking alot better in 3. Good luck dude. I really hope you start feeling better. The brain is a amazing device. Its not as easy to damage permantly as you might think. It tends to manage to fix itself if given enough time( brain cells do regenerate, their not sure to what extent but they do)

I disagree with number 9 a lot though.

I feel that way about Meth, But Ecstasy has really made me feel like I can enjoy life drugless now.

But yeah, Rolling as much as he did, he'd need a long break, and probably did some long term damage ;[

I agree with #9. Personally I have not done it to that extent at all but I have a friend that used about the same. He shows much less emotion all the time, even if we are doing things that he used to always enjoy. It has been about three to four years by now and he is not much better although he did continue to occasionally use X and continued to use other drugs habitually (acid, coke, weed and drank a lot). Assuming you are not heavily using acid and coke you should be getting better. He is finally starting to.

papernot book. i have experianced almost all of the symtoms you listed, except for 9 & 10. i had a 3.5 month break, felt little to no improvement and stupidly took 2.5 pils a month ago, i feel more fried then ever before and have vowed to stop for ever.
i really begin to notice the effects after i rolled 3 times in 2 weeks, other then that i have been responsible, only rolling every 1-3 months for a 2 year period.

do you feel you have improved even slightly over the last 14 months?

it really is a scary feeling.

Listen man to what everone here is telling you , I've done 11 really good pills in one night ( 6 hours no I don't have a death wish, my habits were way worse then you I did it eversinge weekend even 3-4 times a week , I DONT BELIEVE 1month after ecstasy will return your brain to NORMAL , like someone said there was a chart that shows how long it takes your brain to return to normal, by dropping on the 21st your prolonging your recovery which will probably take 10 times as long to recover, I believe it takes longer that's why the chart probably dosent exist anymore....enjoy your honey moon your on top off the world jus fuk it nice n slow lol

Number 9 is true I guesse after years off use your body and mind get to used to it's scary , sex usint the same.

I have to get to class soon so I will be more brief then I wish.

This summer shortly after I turned 18 I went to Ibiza spain for 10 days at the end of a trip to europe, I had taken a lot of ecstasy this year, maybe 40 pills with a healthy 3 day binge in there near the start of my use. But in Ibiza it got really out of control, taking pills I knew were pipers and mixing them with tons and tons of others.

Over the course of 10 days I easily took 30 pills we rolled every single day with one 3 day break, the comedown was so bad I wanted to kill myself but after 2 weeks went by I was back to normal, since then I have rolled quite a bit this fall but definetly spaced them out.

The point is you will be ok, some people can take a lot more abuse then others but everything gets better with time.
