cant remember, nodded out
Ok, so ive been using oxy for about 2 weeks now.. i started off with 20mg witch would get me nodding hard, tolerance has bulit and now i take 40-50mg for a strong nodd, from what i know i havnt felt any withdrawls yet, if im to use everyday for another 4 days, then stop cold turkey, do you think i would experience withdrawls. i need to quit, too expensive.

i dont know but id avoid talkign or calling/hanging with ur freinds that do or have access to it if you want to stop.

You're just prolonging this whole thing by "using for another four days".

Do you realize that you've basically contradicted your statement? You said you want to quit, but then tell us you're going to use for four more days. TRY to Taper yourself down day by day and that will leave you feeling MUCH better when you really want to quit.

im using for 4 more days because it is march break, i have no school, ill be sitting around all day and crave it, to completly quit i think im gunna get off the oxy after 4 days, and move to dilaudid(cheaper) and slowly get off that.

you'd just be replacing one addiction with another...and really, it's the same addiction...Dilaudid, in fact, COULD (keyword being "could") be harder as it's A LOT more potent mg for mg than oxy...low oral BA though and shorter half-life though...

yeah well i find oxy way stronger.. and it would just be easyer to go to dilaudid for a bit before completly stopping, i also might just try to completly stop opiates and use blow for a bit.. i need something......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opioid_comparison

the reason you find it to be stronger is because it's got a much higher oral bioavailability (how much of the drug get's into your system and not destroyed by the liver/kidneys)...

also...just because the high feels heavier, that does not mean that the drug is stronger...

heavier high, yeah, i find it more enjoyable, and harder nods. but nothing to do with oral bio, considering i insulffate my opiods everytime.
but when my body is sober from hard drugs for like 3 days, (not only opiods) i just get a craving like i need to be on SOMETHING, lately the cravings are directed to opiods as they are now my first choice, would switching to blow until i no longer crave opiods be better then switching to dilaudid to get off oxy.

Just stopping would be the best route...

You've only been using for 2 weeks...I understand you wanting to have fun on spring break...do so...then stop...

I'm only on tramadol (100mg 4x daily AS RX'ED) and when I go over (which is almost every day...by A LOT) and run out...the W/D's suck...and tramadol W/D is pretty mild in comparison to harder opioids...

And it sounds to me you have a psychological dependence on getting fucked up...I'm not going to lie...I'm addicted to getting fucked up too...but you have to learn how to control that addiction so that you don't develop physical addictions...and while opioid addiction isn't as fiendish as a coke or meth addiction (I still battle with the latter of the two), the physical W/D's are horrible...granted...I'm a pain patient, so I not only go through withdrawal, but I'm in pain as well...

And no, my tramadol doesn't fuck me up...I can take 3-400mg at once and still feel sober...

I think you will experience withdrawal of some sort..and its only going to get worse. If you are alreadfy saying you 'need to quit' and 'too expensive' yhou are past recreational use and are addicted mentally alrready. Quit now while you still have some hope.

yeah what your saying does make sence.
i find opioids to be 10x more addictive than coke tho, i just started using opiods 2 weeks ago and i crave the high... ive probably done about 4grams of blow in the past year, and not once have a craved it... but yeah im definatly going to try and stop using everyday after spring break... only thing is i know my boddy will start feining a nice buzz once i havnt been high for a couple days, im going to try and change my drug use to only weekends, and see how it goes from there

In my experience whenever you set a future date for getting clean or slowing down it doesn't work. The only way it works is when you are ready to do it immediately. It;s easy to put it off. You can make all the plans in the world.. have great intentions, then when it comes down to it you only put it off again. Its the cycle of addiction bro,. it blows a dick

that's not much at all...I used to do almost a gram of meth a day (freebased).

edit: off topic though...I hope you get your situation all sorted out...but you basically have one of 4 choices...

1. become a junkie
2. become a weekend warrior in order to cut back on your drug use until you eventually decide to ultimately quit entirely
3. become a weekend warrior to stay a weekend warrior; in which case you will most likely go from weekend warrior to chipper (doing it during the week, but not every day), and from there you'll probably start using again
or
4. completely abstain lol...

I want to tell Texas he's full of shit but it's the truth. You will do all he says.... but just try and quit, sounds like you are starting out. blow lines drink beer and go to sleep. Don't get in this vicious loop.
