Bupe How long to wait before upping dose?

Hey.

Buprenorphine newbie, plugged 2 mg of Suboxone a little over an hour ago. Feeling pretty good, actually, but not quite 'there' yet. Should I wait longer to take more? How much longer?

Opiate background: former moderate oxycodone habit, but haven't been a daily user since September. Since then I've cut back to occasional mild binges, usually about 200 mg over the course of a weekend, maybe every 2 or 3 weeks.
 
you might not be "quite there" as you put it because buprenorphine is only a partial agonist.. not a full like oxy. So you may be expecting too much outta bupe.

Edit: not sure if i phrased that right.. someone correct me if i fucked up.. i've got a killer headache.
 
In my experience, Suboxone takes quite a well to fully peak it its effects, not as long as methadone, but about 90 minutes or so, even though the initial effects come on quite fast.

If you want to be completely safe before taking more, OP, wait a good solid two hours after you plugged it.
