How long should you wait to take suboxone after taking opiates (percs)

I'm about 5'10 155 lbs. I usually take 6 to 10 percocet 10s a day. After
Having nothing for three days I took 1 and a half perc 10s. After taking it I didn't feel like it really made
my w/ds go away. I took it around 7:30pm and its now 3am. My symptoms are getting worse
but aren't completly in effect. Still having the shits and chills. My question is
would it be ok to take a small dose of suboxone and if not, how much longer should I wait.
What I have looked up says atleast 24 hours but I'm wondering if its any different in my case.

I was on an average of 120mg - 150mg of Oxycodone a day. On my last day of taking it I took the normal starting dose of 30mg around 6:00am that morning. At around 3:00pm, or at 9 hours, I did the COWS test at the doctor's office and I took 4mg of Suboxone. All went fine and brought me out of WD. I was in WD, but not as bad as it sounlds like you are in right now.

I'd say you should be fine to take it now...but as you know, everyone is different!

Have you done the COWS test? It should be with your Suboxone script...or if you don't have it, it can be found on the Suboxone web site. It will give you the things to look for when you should be good to start taking Suboxone.

I would recommend waiting until you are completely in withdrawals to take the suboxone. 24 hours is a good mark but I've seen people take it sooner.

Thanks for the advise. I'm finaly completly off pain pills an have been cleen for a week and a day. Started a suboxone program an starting to get my life back together
