How long should one wait between benzo / opiate doses?

To stay safe, you how long should you wait after taking a benzo to take an opiate?

I took about 7mg Lorazepam around 10 hours ago, and 2mg Lorazepam about 3 hours ago, and I plan
on doing 300mg Codeine in around 4 hours. Would this be safe?

^ It is my personal opinion that is relatively safe. I am assuming for you to take 9mg of ativan in 7 hours you have a reasonably tolerance to benzos. 300mg of codeine isn't a huge dose but a reasonable one.

Personally I think that unless you are quite tolerant to benzo's it will be a waste of your codeine to dose while that much ativan is in your system. Personally I find low to moderate doses of benzos synergise well with codeine but large doses dull the high of the codeine and overpower it.

Benzo's and opiates should always be mixed with care but I wouldn't think someone with a benzo tolerance taking doses that aren't absolutely ridiculous and mixing with a moderate dose of codeine was dangerous unless they were extremely opiate naive. I do think you run the risk of wasting the precious opiates though if you wait 4-6 hours it might turn out really well. Let us know how you go mate.

^ In my opinion yes it is, it may be a waste but it could also be a really good buzz. I am assuming you are pretty tolerant to benzos and not completely opiate naive, if I am wrong in my assumption then do not take my advice as it is moot.

I have a small benzo tolerance (nothing big), and a decent opiate tolerance. I did 200mg codeine the other day and felt nothing.

I'm not suggesting anyone do what I do , but i often take a benzo with my opiates. Taking a therapeutic dose of benzo with about 2/3 the opiate dose I would normally take. For instance. If I normally take 60mg of oxy alone, I will take 40mg of oxy with 5-10mg of Valium.

I also take a large dose of Valium every night and then a large dose of opiates every morning.

Depends on your tolerance.. if you're used to both then a mild benzo dose won't hurt you. It took me a while to figure it out... I was skipping my xanax doses. If you're uncomfortable half your dose that way you're not missing out on your medication. If you wanna talk about it feel free to PM me.
