I had my wisdom teeth removed under anesthesia 20 or so years ago. I told the doctor, don't let the long hair fool ya, I don't do drugs.( which was true, I was a drunk at the time). I said with sad look what can you give me that is the strongest you will prescibe, I sort of lied and said I was a total wimp about pain.
I am not, stupidity can really increase your pain threshold.
This was way before all this no opiod shit. Not only was I not in pain, but besides the 30 percocets either 7.5 or 10mg oxycodone, with no tolerance. Also vicodin at that time was schedule 3 and he gave me 40 plus refill ( like I said they were schedule 3.
Being stupid I went home and slept. The next day and for 10 days or so drank and popped pills. It was stupid but having no tolerance, I was wasted for ten days or so, because I drank while taking them, but a high tolerance to alcohol helped. But I waited over 12 hours before mixing them with vodka.
Not smart, but I lived and was in a week and a half blackout. Sobered up enough to get a refill on the vicodin. I obeyed the one sticker and waited till I was sober one morning about a week later, went to the pharmacy and got a refill on the vicodin, which as I said was schedule 3 at the time and they refilled it. Things were so much better then but that was would have been fun but I was in a perpetual blackout. I do remember walking to the liquor store a few times.
I know I sound like a hypocrite, but don't mix pills with alcohol. It is dangerous; also I would have a better time if I would have enjoyed them separately. Also that other warning sticker was very correct, that mixing them with alcohol will fuck you up even more.
Time for more hypocrisy: don't abuse drugs and alcohol. Abuse them separately, I mean don't abuse either, and don't ask the oral surgeon about how long to wait to high, then they really will not give you much. Stay sober. Mixing drugs and alcohol can kill or just be wasted on a long blackout.
