How long should I expect DXM to start working?

I took 340mg of DXM 1 hour and 50 minutes ago.

(40mg were in syrup form, the rest of the 300mg were in Gel capsules along with acetaminophen. 10mgDXM/125/Acet.)

I took all of it 30 minutes after waking up and right after I ate 2 hot pockets, and chugged it down with some mountain dew for the caffeine to hopfully speed up the process...although at this point I think I did that in vain.

Anyways, almost 2 hours later and I'm not feeling anything. I have a pretty slow metabolism but could it be possible that it can take more than 2 hours to kick in/peak?

I'll report back and ask for this thread to be removed if I actually start feeling something but I'm kind of hoping for hope that I might actually feel something and not just be disappointed.

To keep this simple, depending on your metabolism and stomach contents, DXM can take a few hours to start. For some people, DXM can kick in quicker or slower. For future reference, use products that contain DXM only and use the search engine.

Math was never my strong point, but if the pills are 10/125 DXM/Acetaminophen, to get to 300mg of DXM, doesn't that mean you ingested 3750 of Acetaminophen? That would be my main concern, that's quite a punch in the liver, to put it mildly.

That's a heck of a punch to the liver. I haven't heard of products with only DXM and Acetaminophen in them. There is probably some doxylamine in there or even some junk for chest congestion.

DXM has taken up to 2 hours to kick in for me. it's very dependent on stomach content and your metabolism.

it's best to take on a completely empty stomach and it should hit you in under 1 hr. as of late i've noticed it almost always kicking in 30-45mins. when i first started out robo-tripping it won't kick til 1hr+

Yeah, 2 hours was the longest ive had to wait for dxm to kick in, on a full stomach.
