Hi all,
I just tried some strong Mad Hatters and I have this crazy idea to put a few in the freezer for long-term storage. And I mean LONG TERM. I'm 34 now and I figure there will eventually come a day when I lose my connects. But it would be nice to tear open my first pension cheque on my 65th birthday and pop a couple tested-and-true tabs.
I've wrapped them in tinfoil and put them in a small, air-tight tupperware container along with a couple packs of silica gel. This is now in the freezer.
SO - I have two questions.
One - do you think this method will suffice for decades-long storage? There's an Erowid article about a party in honor of Hoffmann's 100th b-day where, to everyone's shock, someone broke out a vial of the mythical Sandoz L from 1951 (!!!) and everyone reported virtually NO loss of potency.
See: http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_article2.shtml
FUCKING AWESOME! But this was powder in a brown glass tube. Maybe it was even filled with an inert gas? I know that's ideally what I should do but I just don't want the cost and bother of dealing with gases.
So my second question is - What's the longest that you *personally* have stored blotter without any loss of potency? And how did you pull it off?
Thanks everyone...
