Random Poll: How long have you gone without doing ecstasy since you started?

personally, i feel like i became addicted to ex, and it has been 6 months since i have done it yet it is all i can think about or want to do. Does anyone else feel that it's just one of those things you are always addicted to?

13 months in a few more days.

I feel like I am nearing a transition into normalcy...
But it is fleeting.
This whole goddamn recovery is one huge CYCLE.
Back and forth, like a roller coaster operated by a madman!

MDMA 'addiction' is very foolish.
Considering its reputation for 'safety' it does a LOT of damage to people.
Plenty of news reports focus on DEATH.
Death is very rare from MDMA - so the focus needs to be on 'brain damage' which is far more common.

The more neutral term 're-wiring' can be used for those refusing to acknowledged the potential for harm displayed on BL.
How about 're-organization' of the brain's most dense and intricate neurotransmitter system?

Both descriptions are found in research.
Educate yourself readers.

MDMA is NOT worthy of binging or 'addiction'.
It is among the most dangerous drugs, if taken in subsequent doses.

Re-dosing with all drugs is a primary risk factor, but MDMA stands out.
Re-dosing will cause 'brain damage' to ALL subjects with re-dosing or rolling days in a row.
Just sayin'...

First bad Comedown.

can you please state the Amount of times you have used mdma in a certain timeframe and also tell me how often, was you redosing and how long was you leaving it before doing it again?

Since I started doing MDMA in the summer of 2008, the longest I've gone without dropping was about 8 months.

6 months of use isn't that long. Eventually the MDMA experience will start to change for you or you'll change and be more interested in other things. I am planning to keep using MDMA for the rest of my life, but I can definitely see myself using a lot less than I have in the past 3 years.

I am already at the point where I only want to do MDMA when everything is perfect. :)

Only been using for a year

3 months was my longest. I probably would have broken that given the chance but I had other things to do, i'm pretty disciplined about my usage these days though, mainly cause its not worth harsh comedowns and lower highs.

8 months. I have been prescribed seroquel for sleep at night and i am scared it would be a waste and would completely negate the effects of MDMA

7 weeks is my longest.

I am probably going to increase time gap between in new year
as i would have been using mdma for a year

Ok...

I took a total of around 30 tabs, over a year and a half.
It could NOT have been more than 40.
Not much, I know.

This was only about 12-15 nights, as I would typically use 2 tabs per night....occasionally 2.5-3.
My spacing was usually 2-3 months or longer, but this was not intentional just incidental.

I rolled two days in a row on two occasions and SWORE it would never happen again.
Just horrid effects the second day. Very dirty shit.

Then last year I did it two weekends in a row.
Actually six days apart, 2.5 tabs each time.
On day 7 I couldn't help myself and took another HALF.

That last half was a GRAVE mistake.
I am pretty sure that it did more damage than the other 5 tabs!
This was my first and ONLY mini-binge.
Beer gave me a headache the next day, but smoking was fine.
I really felt normal, and even worked out.

I was still FINE until I took 100mg benedryl 48 hours later.
I went to bed with SO much euphoria and dizziness it was unreal.
I never enjoyed benedryl nearly that much - it kinda felt like being drunk.
I was still recovering from MDMA, but the DPH seemed to push me WAY over the line.

Within 20 minutes of waking up the next day, Serotonin Syndrome hit me like a BRICK.
I never thought I would have a near-death experience at the age of 29.
But that is what happened.

My pills were professionally tested 100% MDMA.
Around 250mg each, although pure it may not have been all MDMA.

I calculated my exposure to as much as 8mg/kg per night!
Anything over 5 is STUPID.
1-2mg/kg is really all that is considered 'clinically' safe.

There were SO many factors that led to this event for me.
Nearly a decade of smoking cannabis cannot be ignored.
Heavy long-term smokers tend to show the greatest psychological deficits in MDMA research.
No drug can be used daily without consequence, but the relationship between cannabis and MDMA appears to be very NASTY.

Then there is the ignorant re-dosing I did every single time I rolled.
Whenever I went over 2 doses it always felt WAY shittier.
But i didn't know the research I know now.
Re-dosing is the easiest risk factor to control!

The final half tab was a BIG mistake for sure.
The benedryl was the LAST fucking straw.
I hope this is plain and dry enough.

okay thanks for clearing that up for me,

I was a bit noobish in my early days,
Id redose and all,
Never done a back to back,
done 2 weeks in a row on april ,
I noticed it wasnt as strong as the other time

so since may,
ive only dosed once a month, I never redose.

Just dont want to come to any harm from mdma use, thats why i inquired.

The longest, 17 years if that really counts but the longest since my first time doing it is 8 months

Technically, about 2 and a half years. I tried it the first time when I was hammered drunk, felt like death the next day, and was generally underwhelmed by the experience. I now wait 2-3 months typically, but I'm coming up on the 4 month mark. Going to a cabin in the mountains with a bunch of friends in a few weeks, and it's going to be amazing. Hoping to get everyone to paint their own Christmas sweaters. Christmas sweater party FTW!

16 years... and I'm only 20 ;)

So you rolled when you were 4 years old? I totally believe you! 8(

Can't wait to hear this story..

Last time I took MDMA was July 16, 2011, however it was a very small amount and it was actually accidental. I planned on rolling that night, decided not to, but the capsule busted open in my gf's pocket, I got some on my finger, licked it, ended up getting some unintentional threshold effects from some apparently very clean/potent molly. However it was this night I decided I would put MDMA down for good (before I accidentally dosed myself :p). Before that, it was a couple months prior, I dropped 2 blue dolphins and they turned out to be rather clean. I still have about ~300mg of very pure, tested molly that I'm undecided if I should just flush it or take it one last time and close the casket...

I was in a similar situation to FBC, just totally mindfucked from MDMA abuse, and convinced damage has occured. At this point, I'm certainly recovering and getting much better, and I credit much of this to abstinence. Did I sustain brain damage from abusing MDMA? Possibly, but I'm not going to focus on that. I'm focusing on enjoying the rest of my life, and so far it's working! =D

I want to take the rest of it, but I'm deathly afraid of going back to square one after so much improvement...

I started taking pills at 15 - which I would do daily, just to feel 'good' I'd have to drop a couple of pills.
Then I started doing MDMA at 16, which I would start doing on a Friday night, & finish doing on a Sunday morning, mostly every weekend (so about 2gs - 3gs every weekend) and I carried on doing that until I was 19.
Then I suffered with sever paranoia & stopped & have never wanted to do it again :) Don't miss it at all either.

So maybe 3 years...
