Well I used my script of adderall ir about 19 days early, not really a problem because I got really far ahead in my schoolwork. Currently 30mg effects me the same as a strong cup of coffee, so a tolerance break is in order.

My question is, how long until my brain returns to normal? I remember in the past withdrawal from the xr version of adderall was horrible lasting several days, but the ir isn't as bad. Does anyone know how long until my dopamine system is recovered? I am scripted 4mg of lorazepam daily, which I do not run ahead in so I will have those, but I need them to feel normal.

Any supplements that will help this? I have been taking magnesium oxide daily for the past 10 days. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I took 75mg about 7 hours ago and I'm currently at the stage where everyone is irritating me to the point I want to punch them in the face.

L-tyrosine and L-tryptophan/5-htp are both precoursers to both dopamine/serotonin respectfully. They can help at least keep an ample supply of nuerotransmitters on hand, albeit your brain might not be dumping them. The usual vitamins and minerals are all good, and if you are worried about tolerance DXM or Ketamine can help to "reset" the body's conditioning to amphetamine effects.

As for the length of the withdrawal? I was using like 75mg-150mg/day plugged and took a week long break both for tolerance and to see if I can. The first day I was a little sluggish and while I didn't want to get up for classes, I did, but promptly went back to sleep. The second day was a little bit more energy, but some more of the same apathetic attitude. Things started to shape up around the 4th day when I was able to feel somewhere close to baseline at least in the energy department. Luckily d,l-amphetamine doesn't destroy your serotonin neurons like long term heavy methamphetamine use can, and so unless you dose huge amounts at a time (25mg/kg) you should have the ability to feel pleasure and joy be able to get excited about life pretty soon after. How soon? I can't tell in your case, but its not something where you can permanently burn out, so you will be fine emotionally in about a week I bet.
