Not the length of the effects but how long does it last in a bag at room temperature? I got mine about a year ago and if I remember correctly, taking 40mg would make me completely numb. I just took it recently and there was only partial numbness and a lot of nausia. Can it degrade or was it just a bad experience?

I can confirm i've had a similar experience to the OP with a batch approx 15 months old.

Recently tried it, and effects were about 20% of what they should have been - if that. I had no tolerance as last experience was over a month before the date in question, and my tripping partner had very minimal effects also and it was her first experience on MXE.

In total we did about 50-60mg each, with actual effects in the 10mg range (except with worst side-effects) - probably due to the amount of material ingested.

Storage was in a cool dark place where i keep all my goodies.

While in theory it should not degrade, it practice it most definitely does.

I put a sample at 25-30° during 3 months, and no visible degradation. The effects were the same.
40mg is too much for a first experience without tolerance, this may explain your bad experience

Sekio, what makes you say that? Not disputing it, I just want to know.

comparable drugs like ketamine are heat and photostable for many years

Probably just the experience, as drugs tend to effects us quite differently over time. The only thing that i seem to get an undeniably consistent effect with is opioids.
