Not even sure if this is the right forum to post this on, mods, feel free to move this to an appropriate forum if you need to.

I know the usual time is 3 or 4 days. But last week when I was in the hospital, they gave me a UA and it came out positive for meth, even though I've been clean off of it for several months now. Only reason this bothers me is cuz the county regional services that I usually go to for treatment, they're most likely going to see the report (which I'm sure they already have) and accuse me of using. I've only been drinking since I quit drugs, and not even as heavily as I used to. About a week before my stay at the hospital, they took me off seroquel, which I've been on for several years, because they thought that I was using it to help with the meth crashes, and even my psychiatrist there thought I was possibly selling them on the streets. When I was using pretty heavily, almost on a daily basis for 8 or 9 months, not sure if it would have stayed in my system for longer because of the amount I was using. They also cut down my trazadone that I was using for sleep and didn't really bother to taper me off it. But I went from 200mg a night down to 50mg in one week. When they took me off the meds so soon, I was taking the dosage of 50mg a night and it would never put me to sleep. So I would usually get up every few hours to pop one or two more. So after I got out of the hospital, they still kept me off the seroquel and only increased the trazadone dosage to 100mg. I don't understand why they refuse to give me any anti-psychotics anymore, not even abilify or anything that has no street value. And now, after testing positive for meth its probably going to make my situation worse at the regional team.
Should I just go doctor shopping and try to get any kind of anti-psychotic I can, just to help with the anxiety and extreme paranoia I seem to get at times.

There is no drug testing discussion allowed and no doctor shopping discussion either.

Its less common than false-negatives, but false-positives do occur so the first thing you should've done is demanded the sample be sent to a lab if it was just an office test. Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, these topics are not allowed on BL so I'm going to have to close this.

If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to PM me.
