ketamine can show up as pcp, they are closely related.

People are giving a lot of false information on this thread...erowid says that ketamine is not chemically similar to any other drug that is commonly tested for, and then it says that it should not trigger a positive for any other tested substance because of the above reason. Please go to erowid or any other source of accurate information before you start spouting off crap...

stuffed: dont call names. theyre right; ketamine is not supposed to cause positives for pcp, or any other substance. i didnt just check erowid for this, i looked up the elimination products of the two and while they are similar, they are not identical by any means.
i had a friend that tested positive for pcp once, we think because of dxm, even though its much more chemically different to pcp than ketamine. k and pcp have similar dual ring structures, but arent identical, nor are the elimination products.
a gc/ms test would be able to tell the difference *I GARENTEE IT*, i donno about the cheapie tests they employ in most cases, though. but if they suspected ket, the gc/ms would show its presence, obviously.
im not sure pure mdma would cause the amphetamine false positive, they also dont have identical elimination products, and a gc/ms would show this, although if they were looking, they could see the presence of the mdma elimination products. remember, lots of things cause false amphetamine positives, namely pseudophedrine, sudafed.
all my studies on this thanks to this topic turned up one verrry comforting piece of news: zolpidem (ambien) will not interfere or cause false positives on any drug tests.

stuffed - maybe erowid isnt 100% accurate - but i think most people (such as myself) - find erowid to be pretty much the word on most topics. erowid isnt just a bunch of drug-using kids slopping around a bunch of crap they arent sure of, but rather think, or heard from a friend... erowid can give a lot more accurate information than most people.

I am not going to type the story in full, as I did it a week ago, but I believe ketamine will test as PCP given this was the case with me awhile back..

using small amounts of ketamine a few days prior to the test should not come up as posotive for PCP.. its if you do K in high dosage (say you bang out a liq the day before the test...) then ive seen false posotives for PCP.

DXM can cause false positives for PCP, although i don't know why. (isn't the most commonly used test an antibody-binding assay? im not sure, but that could explain it)
ketamine and PCP have similar structures with the exception of the N-alkyl group, piperidine is quite different than a methyl group. i'm not entirely sure if K shows up as PCP or not.. although one test ive looked at in detail will not detect ketamine (or its major metabolites, hydroxyketamine and norketamine)
MDMA can be specifically tested for and i imagine testing for it is becoming more popular. it may also give a positive test for methamphetamine.
