How long does depression last from a few days of a benzo binge

Hey anyways so i took a few benzos the day before, and yesterday i took 5 valiums, 2 xanax's and 2 ativans, now that all of its effects has worn off which lasted awhile i feel tired and slightly depressed. My question is that will i return back to normal or am i screwed? I feel such urge to take them but my family hid them from me, and i have lack of motivation but physically i feel fine.

Hi, it's perfectly normal to feel a bit (or even a lot) depressed when you take/stop a benzodiazepine, even if you've been only taking them for a day.

You will return back to normal quite quickly in my opinion, the same thing happened to me with bromazepam, I was totally depressed when I stopped just a week of consumption. Looks like this particular benzo didn't do very well for me.

Be careful mixing benzos though, the effects are stronger and the addiction comes faster than if you take only one benzo.

Some of those are longer acting, especially the diazepam, which is probably still going strong in your bloodstream, along with it's active metabolites.

Don't binge on benzodiazepines please.
