How long does CYP3A4 inhibition from GFJ and Cimetidine last?

Pretty much what the title asks... The inhibitory aspects of Cimetidine and GFJ (specifically bergamottin which is what I understand to be the primary significant compound in potentiation) must inhibit that enzyme for a specific range of time.

I know that, for instance, Cimetidine's half-life is 2 hours but I would imagine the enzymatic inhibition doesn't last that long (maybe longer or shorter). I've read of GFJ inhibiting 3A4 for between 12 and 72 hours.

I'm basically wanting to know if I need to do the 800-1000ml GFJ and 600mg Cimetidine an hour before each dose of Oxycodone (which I take two of a day).

Also, are there any negative effects of taking cimetidine for extended periods of time in doses exceeding the box's suggestion? I know that it must have some effect (with food/eating) especially when you add it into that the significant amount of Tums I'm also eating around dose time.

thanks.
