How long can i store Opium?

i've searched the whole net but i couldn't find anything.
i'd love to know how long i can store opium in a cool, dark & dry place
until it no valuable for smoking it?

From what I've read, dry opium can be stored for months. All it requires is a dark, cool, and non-humid place.

From what I have read, assuming it is properly dried and moisture free and stored properly the opium will outlive you, your great grandkids could get high on it.

The numerous stories of antique medicine bottles found on ebay and at garage sales still providing highs backs up the academic claims.

It can be stored for years. Opium is notorious for holding value and has been stockpiled for the past thousand years. Look in the news thread on the front page about the surplus opium crop and how/why they store it.
