how long can a needle sit and still be good? a little urgent!

hey all, been a while since i've been on BL, but I have a question about a needle...

I have a needle that has sat for a couple months. there is no blood or anything that I can see in the syringe. I was wondering if this needle is still good. I plan on shooting up tonight, and I want to be sure that this needle is fine to use. would there be bacteria growing inside or anything? my car is not running ATM so I have no way to get new needles.

any help would be great! sorry if this post is all over the place, just in a hurry to get info and I didn't find any info online or using the search function.

Of course everybody here would tell you that you should a new sterile needle each time you shoot up, to avoid infection and other diseases.

Has this needle been used by anyone else?

If not, I think you'd be alright to use just the once. However, if it's been used before (by you), there is a chance there may be old blood/traces of drugs that have gotten stuck inside the bottom of the syringe, and/or even the needle itself, which could make it harder to use, especially if it's gone hard and is stuck in there.

Also, smell the needle/inside the syringe, you'd be able to smell the 'rotting blood'', if it hasn't dried because of not getting air to it. If you smell an offensive smell, please don't use it.
 
no nasty smell, plunger comes out easy and goes in easy so I don't think there is any blood dried in the needle, and I am the only one who has used the needle, would never share a needle or anything like that. it was only used once as far as I remember and only by me. obviously I try to keep it safe and use new sterile needles whenever I shoot up, I always buy new needles when I run out, just right now my car is not working and this is the only needle i have besides those big 3cc and 5cc ones they use for flu shots ,my mom is an NP and had a box of them left over from her flu shot clinics (she travels to workplaces and stuff like that so she keeps needles in her flu shot box, which she keeps at home when she is not doing clinics) and those fuckers have a huge gauge needle on them that hurts like a bitch and leaves nasty marks on my arm which I don't want.

but anyways, thanks for your help! probably wouldn't have known what to do with my hydromorph if you didn't reply! still waiting on them though.... ffs...
 
Could be bacteria forsure.

That's a long time to sit and fester..

Would recommend against it.

Any ways atleast clean it with some alcohol or something it's going directly into your bloodstream.

Or just use the bigger needles that you know are clean.. it's one time
 
I just took a bunch of pregabalin, around 1200 mg, I have a huge tolerance to the shit, takes me like atleast 900mg to feel anything at all, so I think when I get my hydromorphs ill just snort a bit, don't want to iv any opiates while im high on pregabalin, seems like a bad idea, and a great way to OD... so ill just snort some of my shit when it comes and go get some new needles tmrw.

Thanks for your help! if I do end up IV'ing it ill take a low dose and use one of the 3cc needles that I know are sterile.
 
I but mine in packs of 10... just go to a pharmacy and ask for insulin syringes, they come in 10, 20, and like probably fucking value pack amounts lmao
