How long before I can start chipping?

I've been a daily pod tea drinker for about 6 months and recently was forced to quit and went through the whole physical withdrawals; took 7 days to get through it. I've been clean now 10 days. Anyways, how long before a single use won't result in the whole physical withdrawals thing starting all over again? I know this is probably naive, but I think I can hold it to the weekends, but I can't afford (not to meantion handle) another 7 days sick. Your helps appreciated!

That's a tough question to answer because tolerance and dependence are complicated biologically speaking, but for me, if I did exactly as you have done right now, and I start to use again for more than 2 days straight I'll get withdrawals. That's just me though.

I feel like this is a pretty risky thing to do. Were you chipping before you became a daily user? If so, there are pretty strong odds that you will just become addicted again; and not only is it extremely likely for you to get addicted, but I am willing to bet that it will happen even faster this time around.

In addition to my previous statement, ten days is definitely not a long enough time span to stay away from an addictive drug and then just start "chipping successfully" (I use quotations because chipping can only be successful for so long before you are right back to where you started.)

Aside from that, I am pretty sure pod tea has a decently long half life so your tolerance has definitely not decreased whatsoever, which only further proves my previous point of you ending up right back to where you were; physical and psychological addiction.
No matter how adamant you are about having "learned your lesson about addiction," I would say take at least a 6 month break if not longer.

If the cravings are really that bad or you feel you truly cannot live without opiates, I would think about speaking to a sub doc if I were you.

Lastly, I am sorry for giving you more of a lecture than the answer you were looking for and I don't mean to be preachy or anything like that, but I am just giving you advice based on my personal experience as well as the experiences of many people I know. Please please please just try to think about what I have said before you choose to pick up again.

Yes I chipped hydrocodone/oxycodone/codiene for about a year and a half then stopped (no physical withdrawals at all) for a year then discovered pod tea; loved it! Kinda fell into daily use. Now I'm not really craving it, but it sure is fun. I'd love to be able to just do it every now and then. I'm just afraid if I went and brewed a cup now, I'd be going through physical withdrawals again tomorrow. Is that possible?

^^
only one way to find out lol.

personally, i'd wait a little while longer. i've never fucked with the tea tho, and i know it's long acting, so it very well may put you into some withdrawals again once that tea starts to wear off after dosing.
