Opioids How long after taking Nucynta is it safe to take Tramadol?

Hello all.

I took 100mg of Nucynta this morning. I am led to believe that it has a short half-life (4 hours), so if I took 100mg of Tramadol about 5 hours after my initial Nucynta dose, would it still be risky even at these low doses and spaced apart like that?

Do you have a tolerance to opiates? If so I would say there is no obvious risk but I am only familiar with Tramadol so maybe someone else can add info on the Tapentadol (Nucynta).

I have a mild tolerance. Mostly just Tramadol and poppy pod tea, I don't really use any "proper" opiates Although I tried Oxy a couple of times (40mg each time) and it didn't do a whole lot for me other than make me feel like I had spent too much money...

I'm not feeling a whole lot from this 100mg of Nucynta... perhaps I'll see where I am in a few hours...

Indeed. I was thinking that perhaps this was overly cautious and it wouldn't be an issue at such low doses.

But you are of course correct, it's probably not worth the risk. They can be saved for another day!
