How long after smoking until you feel totally clear headed?

I used to smoke in order to feel "normal".

Tolerance and potency are big factors.

After a month layoff, I got some good hydro and took 4 or 5 hits through the water pipe. I buzzed hard for about 4 hours or so and didn't get back to "sober" for about another 2 hours after that.

I am sure the dry time was a big factor. The bees were buzzin and the cobwebs in the brain were quite thick.

If I can stick to a once in a while thing, it should be quite an economical buzz.

If I'm getting high every day, then probably three hours or so; occasionally more. It depends a lot on if I've had a normal amount of sleep - if I'm experiencing a sleep deficit it takes a lot longer to feel totally clear-headed.

If I've quit for a week or longer, then it takes my head longer to clear since the weed hits me like a ton of bricks.

I'd like to take a break I just have trouble cutting it out of my day.

ya it's a lot easier said than done. i haven't smoked weed for 2 weeks and a day. the first week and a half is the hardest, and it involved me picking up drinking pretty heavily just to get to sleep.

i haven't had to drink for 5 days now tho, and it really does take a good week and a half to finally be comfortable with not being high in the evenings, and finding other things to do with your time. smoking just fills that void in your life, and it's really easy to just get caught up with being high and doing things blazed. i miss it, but i feel like i'm making progress in my life now. it took some rough ass summer classes for me to finally give weed a break.

I took a break so I could lay off and come back and try for some moderation. Wish me luck on finding some moderation. Moderation and I sometimes take some time to find each other. :D

When I did do it this lat time, I smoked all my stash and did not replenish it. It was to easy to say fuck it if it was in the drawer in my own place. I also only hung around 1 friend that smoked regularly and even she was kind enough to blaze up before or after most times. I had aslo spent years around her when she smoked and I did not so I had practice and experience with that person and my urge to smoke.

The freight train came through agin this weekend and hit me head on. If I can make weed the spice of life and a life of spice, it will be more enjoyable and economical for me.

Well for me it all depends on the bud, with a strong body high i feel it for a good 3 hours but, only high for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
With a nice head high it takes me anywhere from 45mins to 2hours to be able to feel sober.

ALTHOUGH this September i smoked about half a joint and was high for legit 5 hours, but, prior to that i hadn't smoked in 8 months so this bring me to believe the length of a high depends on 5 things.
1. Setting (where you are, including ; whether and such)
2. If you eat or not ( if you eat your high dies faster)
3. Your THC stains (type of bud)
4. Tolerance (how long it has been since your prior usage)
5.Method of administration ( bong, vape, joint, brownies)

uhh, i think you may have omitted a few things; e.g., how MUCH you smoke/eat whatever, the mindset your in, whether or not you sleep, whether or not you excercise or do something or just sit around, etc. not to mention all the other things you presupposed like somatotype and age and yankie doodle danish. honestly...

If I get really stoned I can notice an unclear not quite functioning brain for sometimes 8+ hours after, the factor that it mostly depends on is if I get a chance to sleep after or not.

You're giving me great motivation I just think it will be so hard. I'd like to not be dependent on weed, but once you do something every day for a few years it becomes hard to cut that out of your life. Plus I can't sleep without it and I get super irritable.... fuck.

My highs last for about an hour and vary in intensity depending on type of herb.

When I used to have no tolerance, I could stay high for a few hours easily, but as the tolerance built the highs got shorter.

exactly this

Depends on the bud, how much was smoked, tolerance, etc. The first smoke of the day, especially if I wake and bake, sends me flying for hours. I'd guess the average time it takes me to feel completely clear-headed is around 2-3 hours; however, I'll usually smoke again within about 2 hours, since I won't feel high anymore (just a little hazy). I usually maintain some level of clear-headedness and basically normal functionality unless I smoke insane amounts, and it's usually no problem to sit through lectures having smoked half an hour ago.

The time it takes for my head to clear is a good measure of my tolerance. Used to be 6 hours, now its 2 and a half.
