I've done a lot of research lately about loperamide. I was on suboxone maintenance for about 2 years & Im deperately looking for a comfotable way to get off of EVERYTHING & I thought loperamide was the key, but I was wrong. I took 80mg loperamide today & I dont like it at all. Im still having tons of cold chills, no energy & no appetite & I dont feel well enough to function for work, which I must do. On top of it I feel very spacey & my eyes feel heavy as if Im sleepy yet I tried to lay down but can't sleep. I do not want to take more, as I believe it will only intensify those effects, which I do not want and obviously less would not be as effective so I dont understand why its not working well for me, as Ive seen many many people swear by it. Either way, Im curious of how long do I need to wait to take suboxone? I havent been able to come up with much information on this subject, & I dont want to experience PWDs. Im not even sure that PWDs will happend after loperamide? But I want to be sure before I do it. I dosed the loperamide at 11:00 am today.

The only problem is I still feel like I'm in withdrawal. Not full blown withdrawal but Im still very uncomfortable. I don't know why the loperamide isn't working well for me but any idea on just a time frame? Since I still have many withdrawal symptoms I may feel physically like taking the suboxone sooner than I should.

loperamide doesnt do much for me either, even at doses of 100mg plus.

bought 2 bottles of 200 pills last week, took a half bottle that morning in full wd's and got little to no relief.

scored a sub film later that night, took it and the wd's melted away. you should be fine. but take a tiny bit at a time to be sure

^This. When you decide to take the Suboxone start with a low dose, like 0.5-1mg, and see how you feel, then if you don't feel any worse in an hour take another 0.5-1mg and so on. This will reduce the risk of precipitated withdrawal (if there even is one, I have no idea with loperamide).

loperamide is bullshit IMO.

However yesterday when withdrawal was slowly turning around to reveal it's gnarled and disquieting face i found LOMOTIL....& ambien.

The lomotil ACTUALLY works for W/Ds. I was only in mild wd but it felt bad enough. After 12 of these, my chills are gone, im calm and shit, and i'm not obsessing over getting high..yet.

I don't think loperamide withdrawal is REALLY going to be any worse than what your dealing with from the subs...take it when you need it..no sooner, no later.
