How long after Buprenorphine will it be worth taking Fentanyl?

I've been snorting Buprenorphine in the evenings over the last few days, my last dose was around 4pm today.

I've got some Fentanyl patches arriving tomorrow (plenty of experience with them) and I'm just wondering how long I'll need to leave it before I'll be able to enjoy the fent?

24 hours at a minimum, 48-72+ if you want it to be worth your while.

^^^ You don't need to wait that long. There was discussion of this in the Suboxone thread in Other Drugs section. Most people said Fent has a higher affinity than Suboxone in the receptors.... now if this was Oxy or Vicodin then this would be a different story, but Fentanyl is one of those few that you can take and not have to wait.

I take 16 mg of buprenorphine every day. When I have Fentanyl patches, even 24 hours after the last buprenorphine, I don't really feel anything. After 36 hours, I do... It also depends how people take buprenophine, whether they snort, or inject it... When snorted or taken IV, the body seems to get rid of it faster; there is also more "loss" then when taken sublingually. There is a chart on Wikipedia. Even sublingually, the loss is still something like 20%. But for somebody who has snorted 4 mg during a few days only, you probably won't have to wait so long.
