How is the weather where you are today?

Woke up all curled up with muscle pain and a running nose. In other words, it's freezing. But it will be a sunny day, and though summer is defi over, it will get warmer.
 
First rain of the year. Enjoying the sound and smell. Hope we'll have lots of rain this winter, the soil still needs it after six or so "dry years".

we have the atacama desert in the north. in the south it's more like switzerland, and the most southern part is antartic. so it really depends on where you are. i live in the middle, near the coast, and it's comparable with california.

edit: But I would be sceered to go to easter island. It looks Remote !!!
 
Concepcion is like 600km or so to the South.
Easter Island... you need an invitation to go there. They want to keep tourism at a minimum. And yes, it's a longer journey (3640+/- km)
 
Let out the dogs early in the morning and there was strip of light on (my) horizon. Went back to bed and slept for an hour, and when I woke it was raining! Which doesn't happen very often here,.at least not until July/August.

It's 9 am and 10° C and prognostics say it will rain u til late afternoon. Max temp around 1 pm (12° C)
