Yeah, the Bay Area seems really crazy that way, like how the East Bay's so much hotter/drier than S.F. proper, or even the difference in fogginess just between S.F. neighborhoods. And in LA, with Santa Monica being so much cooler than Burbank.

We've got that to a slight degree in WA, rain shadow effect from the Olympics makes certain areas drier/brighter... and then of course it's totally different east of the Cascades.

I like the rain myself. Most of the time, it isn't so heavy that you get drenched just walking around in WA, except in places on the coast like Aberdeen (where Kurt Cobain grew up). What gets to people is more the dark grey clouds and short daylight in the winter, like you might not see the sun for 3 weeks straight in December.

i lived in seattle for a good while, use to hang at the wild rose not far from pike, i remember when jer bear passed the whole city was in a zombie state, i lived in kent, auburn and federal way. but oregon was crazy cool, but WA, i never seen such rain

Neat, I didn't know that! That bar is still hanging on at 10th/Pike on Capitol Hill, but there's not much left of the cool "old Seattle" these days, sadly...

in OR ,there were "sun breaks" and it was hilarious, people running outside tearing clothing off to toss a frisbee or kick a hackey around, i kid you not

its still around!!!! well i was there 25 yrs or so ago, and Seattle was great though i loved portland OR( Eugene even more)......practically lived in powells book store,heard both cities are shit, but in the day i went to an AA meeting near MLK Blvd in portland.......lets just say i was a pretty white young thing and the gangs n shit were even nice to me

Yeah, Powells is awesome! I've never been to Eugene but want to check it out, supposed to be full of 🏴🥷 anarchists and ✌️😨 acidheads...

in veneta near eugene is the country fair, only workers can stay the night, but its much like a dead show parking lot party, hope country fair is still there, you would love eugene
 
No, actually they're tree frogs. Not sure if they're IN the pond or in the trees around it. Do tree frogs lay their eggs in water? I'm not sure. I just know that they always start up in mid-February when it rains.

They probably line the banks of lakes and ponds and call for a mate. I'd guess they start to get horny toward the end of Winter 😏
 
It snowed again from 8 am about 3 hours.

Sunny now,

Same yesterday except snowed about 3 times and no sun.

Haha, that's exactly what I said to my mum because they do these things the elite they have their twisted little sense of humour and I'm certainly work it into the little devious cauldron pot of overall schemes and they like to have these little jokes on us and they are certainly certainly capable of engineering any type of climate or weather event they desire anywhere in our....okay lol, Crater here 😀
