how is low-dose AMT?

i'm thinking about low-dose AMT for either:

- being more social and happy
- studying/ writing papers (like an alternative to adderall)

would it be good for either for these?

From what I've heard (I've never actually tried it) but AMT takes a long time to kick in, so you'd end up taking it in the morning to study later haha.

More social and happy? 5-10mg in the morning will certainly produce this, although not in an overwhelming manner. A subtle but effective antidepressant.

Studying/writing papers I'm not so sure about. It might get you out of a lazy malaise, but it lacks the razor focus of amphetamine.

As for being more social and happy absololutely. As for writing and studying for papers ... well id becareful with that once concidering the fact AMT is a hallucinogen which can make the mind wonder even at extremely low doses.

As far as I know, AMT was used as an antidepressant in the USSR during the 1960s, so it might be useful for mood-improving.

Though I myself would like to hear experiences of real people too, because I am planning to use this compound occasionally in low doses.

~5mg amt freebase gives me a very noticeable mood lift with a decent amount of energy.. not that good for motivation/focus in my experience though

I don't really understand higher doses of amt, way too speedy and (feels) hard on the body to me. 40mg was cool since it gave LSD like hallucinations and intense thought patterns, but I had to put up with being extremely overstimulated and jittery the whole time(pretty much leaving me to lying in bed tapping my feet and fingers rapidly while taking small breaks from the overwhelming stimulation by vaping DMT haha). Also gives me a headache at higher doses..

I've experimented with aMT in 2.5 mgs, 5 mgs, and 7.5 mgs doses. I worked in a grocery store when I did this, and it does indeed give a noticebale "boost", although I found there to be side effects.

2.5 mgs was about the right level for me. I got just enough of a boost, without actually feeling it.

5 mgs and up made me feel a little bit jittery, it was just a little bit *too* threshhold for comfort, know what I'm sayin ? I was still totally fine to interact with customer and co workers, but I just wasn't that comfrortable with anymore than 5 mgs. At 7.5 mgs i started noticing very slight stomach discomfort with persisted throughout the day. All in all, these doses are still very very easy to deal with.

I gave up on using AMT this way, and will save it for 25 mgs + doses from now on.

Cant really comment on low dose aMT, but I definitely notice mood-enhancing/anti-depressent effects after consuming larger doses - These mood lifting effects seems to last about a week or so.

The only dose of AMT that I have tried was low, it was 10 mg.

It didn't take thát long to kick in, if other drugs take an hour then this might have been one and a half maybe. It did come up very easily and it reminded me of low dose MDMA but much more dilated... more more gentle and slow-paced, not in-your-face terribly recreational feelings of being high but instead a therapeutic opening of the heart. I was with my best friend and we made a great connection, even deeper than normal and talked about personal and beautiful things. We went outside and skated on that winters day. I felt renewed and rather playful. At the tail end when evening fell all the snow crystals refracted lightbeams and sparkled. I felt very much at peace and grateful for the day.

There was no nausea even if I did have to get used to the AMT. There was some GHB used that day as well mind you. I would like to do it again for sure, low dosed or higher. It's really a shame that I never did!

Have only used it at low dose for mood lift/antidepressant reasons a few times but it is certainly very effective for this purpose. Could see it helping with focus too but would maybe be tricky to strike a balance between energy, enthusiasm and distraction. One of the reasons the Soviets discontinued its use as a prescription antidepressant was apparently that it caused "inappropriate smiling" =D

Got loads of the stuff to hand cos I can't use it while I'm on daily tramadol. Ironically the tramadol is prescribed for its antidepressant effect. Maybe time to switch them...

You know what they say in Soviet Russia: smile in public, stand out like a sore thumb

^^^^
This made me laugh, but I can't find more info about inappropriate smiling :)
You, guys, seem to know more soviet idioms than me. :)

Hehe. Glad you didn't take offence at the voddy comment, Allium. Couldn't resist :o

I do recall seeing something at least semi-official that the "inappropriate smiling" comment was quoted from but how well translated and where it came from I couldn't say. And I must admit I know precious little about Russia or the old USSR either really. Liked the Daywatch/Nightwatch films though :)

^ No offence taken. :)
Also, nice video: Rucka Rucka Ali - Russia's Gay, I like it. :)

This sounded plausible, so I'd like to read more on it. What a pity I can't find anything in Russian internet.

I meant that I never heard such idiom "smile in public, stand out like a sore thumb". But it is kinda fun, and similar idiom exists: (my rough translation) "Laughing without reason is sign of dumb man", or similar english idiom: "Too much laughter discovers folly.".

is it dangerous to take AMT if you have tramadol in your system, even if it's a low dose of AMT?

Didn't say it was gonna kill ya or even remotely trouble ya every time. You'll get away with it far more often than you'll die from it. Probably. I was also pretty lackadaisical about combining tram with stuff. Till I got SS from combining with one of the least likely sources possible - LSD - not even a serotonin releaser let alone an MAOi. Never even crossed my mind that it even could be a possible risk. It really, really is. Not worth the risk, imo, ime, lsd, xtc, etc. Not even a little bit.
