How important is your post count to you?

The only members who I can think of, who's got both quality and quantity are;

- Shambles
- Alasdair

Those two members, in my opinion, have contributed a helluva lot to Bluelight, both in quality of posts and quality..... (maybe I need to get out more JK :D )

yeah it was about a young girl who was using pot to help with the pain and such and if i remember right her dad was against it saying all she did was mong out and play video games

seriously, what a lame jab. you have a problem with shambles or myself or both of us? then engage constructively and discuss it like an adult. it's the easiest thing in the world to poke holes in somebody else from behind the relative anonymity of an internet persona. if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem? certainly.

i can only speak for myself but i'm putting in time on bluelight to try to make it a better place. to foster an environment where disagreement is healthy because opinions are respected and debate is civil. to leave the ego at the door and do what's best for the community. what are you doing? racking up warnings and infractions for racist and homophobic posts and generally acting like the rules somehow shouldn't apply to you? classy :\

i'm not perfect. i've made plenty of mistakes but i can admit when i'm wrong and respect the perspective of others.

i'd invite you to change a lightbulb instead of moaning about the darkness by perhaps becoming a staff member and helping out. but we tried that and, well, it didn't really work out very well, did it?

to each their own? sure.

I don't have a problem with either of you, if I did you would know about it. If you want I'll dig out the post I made the other days respecting shamble's knowledge? You don't think I've been here over a decade putting in time and effort in to BL trying to make it a better place as well?

Try poking your head in recovery support and read a few threads and see if you still think I'm such an utter cunt. Ask your mods there what they think of me, one asked just the other day when I was going to mod up again. Obviously that will never be allowed, and that's' fine, I can hang around shariny my experiences and trying to help others without a tag to stroke my ego. Regarding my short time as mod, I thought it was very productive until I disappeared as I sunk in to a pit of drug abuse and depression at the age of 19 that I'm only just coming out of eight years later at the age of 27. It was the wrong time and I do believe I have wholeheartedly apologised for disappearing on a number of occasions toyou no?

I'm shocked you would criticise me of being unproductive and awkward. How about that time I reported a post named by a mod with a racial slur in the title and was totally ignored? Even within EADD I have made repeated calls for less bullshit chit chat and more focused HR. Just the other day I was askig why threads about regional hash availabilty were being repeatedly merged in to another that no one posts in and keeps dropping off to minor pages whilst threads for boastin about how fucked you are take precedent.

As for my list, well I'm kind of bound by the sections I would visit but I would go for Herbavore and Neversickanymore for a kick off. I've seen those two make more of a positive impact on people's lives and reduce the harm drugs are causing them than anyone else, and that's what this site is about no?

Why always so angry alisdar? Don't take everything I post in EADD so seriously yeah, it's clearly more of a social for talking bollocks than HR now. I've never madde a homophobic post, we've covered this already. In the country I come from a fag is something you smoke or somone who is being a pussy/wimp. I have never heard it used in a homophobic context:



I used the word nigger once in a positive context about how much he had achieved. I've got to bite the bullet on that one as I know in other countries it is clearly a very sore issue, but it was used neither to describe him and definitely not in anegative context. I call my white friends nigger.




I think maybe it would be more suited we took this to PM rather than duking it out in public. I'm quite happy to do that but it kind of detracts ffrom the supposed paradigm no?

Here's a thought, how about you organise us a search engine that actually works?

My post count depresses me and reminds me of my attachment to something I have wanted to get away from for a long time, and never wanted to become so involved with in the first place. That's part of the reason why I'm not bothered about my former avatar's post count, nor his Crew badge. Though the Crew badge may have saved me some minor pigfuckery in recent times, or at least made the pig in question think a little before shooting from the hip. Enough already about that.

Then again, I've met lovely people on Bluelight, most of whom I don't see / communicate with enough, and some of whom (not many) turned out to be as scary as they could be lovely. Some whom I wish I'd spoken with more, and from a better place, etc.

Right now, I'm thankful to Bluelight for introducing me to the star that helped me navigate the darkness of winter and continues to illuminate my every day. So I suppose I owe it that, and post count (and pigfuckery) be damned.

Naw, doesn't matter and to anyone who thinks post count does matter sounds like a true cunt to me. People are people. You've gotta start somewhere... Doesn't change who you already are or what you already know ( or don't in some cases ) That is nearly the same is saying age gives you knowledge. I know so many older than me who, by that token, should be wiser. Also have had the pleasure of knowing people much much younger than me with such wise heads on their shoulders.

Both scenarios, if it does matter that much you're simply being a judgmental douche.
