In my opinion psychedelics should be taken by themselves-especially if its the experimenter's first experience with said substance; this allows one to get so much more from the experience and not risk falling into a void. But I wouldn't rule out cannabis (or beer) after the peak.
I was no longer high when I chose to insufflate the snuff we prepared; no more pot nor beer remain.
I was impressed at how thin the seeds were. We heated 5 seeds up, took the husks off, and chopped them into a fine powder with baking soda mixed in. I took 2/3rds of the resulting pile, and split it into two roughly equal lines. I snorted one of the lines. Incredible and immediate drool resulted, along with significant pain that dissipated rather quickly.
I felt my body flush as the discomfort faded and the effects I expected soon set in. A rushing sensation, a feeling of increased vigor/vitality, and an intensification of color. A distinct buzz to be sure. I was able to drop and do 40 consecutive pushups without perceived exertion. Not a bad stimulant. Some mild CEVs were present but not lucid enough to be worth the focus.
My friend, who was NOT on board initially and kept repeating how awful snorting seeds and baking soda sounded, got intrigued and did the rest of the snuff! I was thinking he was just gonna sit me but the bloke thought it looked all right and quite enjoyed himself in fact. Personally, I am not sure I would do it again. I was debating on snorting more of it after the pain of the first line went away, but the size of the lines you take are just too flippin large. Maybe if I had a 30 mile hike through some crazy wilderness I would do it. I can see the potential.
I'll be tokin' on some actual n,ndeems later this week if everything goes according to plan. This foray into 5-ho-dmt was just a warmup.
