Bluelight Crew
I put on my headphones and set the controls to autopilot as I headed for a stroll through the night. The world blurred and I seemed to be moving at great speed.
I dreamed last night that a dog named Lunar was leaving on a mission into deep space. A crowd cheered as her shuttle blasted off. I was happy for a moment, but it occurred to me that her small paws probably weren't properly equipped to adequately handle the controls necessary for re-entry, and I asked a bystander "when is Lunar coming back?"..
She wasn't. That wasn't part of her mission.
So I went to this forest with a channel into distant reaches of the galaxy, and began calling out to her.
I saw my late dog Roxy, running into the sunset with the other kelpies whom she has apparently befriended since leaving this place.
As the light faded, It became apparent to me that I was somewhere I shouldn't be.
I looked up to the sky and saw the shuttle disappearing into a cloud composed of billions of stars.
I woke up, questioning everything about everything.
I hope that somehow, in some way - Lunar's travel into the unknown are more than just a lonely, chaotic voyage through the cosmos like I often feel it is for me.
