how healthy are you?

i got a B...

i know im not in the best of shape, and could be better, but im def no couch potato. i work at a gym part time and work for a wholesale greenhouse full-time and that works me out pretty well every day. i figure if i start eating better, and start eating more calories a day i can gain more weight. i also really should quit smoking...as a side note, to the ppl that have quit smoking cigs, did you notice an increase in appatite? did you gain weight?

Right now I'm way "out of shape" in terms of physical fitness (particularly cardio), but my weight is good, strong immune system, no known stomach or organ problems, heart tests out OK, blood pressure is good, cholesterol/triglycerides are within normal range.

I wouldn't call myself "healthy" in terms of thriving, but I'm not unhealthy either. Basically everything is working as it should. However, I definitely have significant future risk factors... 25 pack-year smoking history, tanning bed use in the 80s (already had a small skin cancer removed), moderately-heavy substance use, completely sedentary. Unless I quit, substance use will almost certainly be the first to get me. Otherwise, probably cancer (can't do much about that one tho).

scored a 270. Ive been working at a health food store for 3 months now so im pretty knowledgeable about being and staying healthy. I was also a vegetarian for four years and just recently stopped so i have almost no fat, which could be seen as a bad thing i guess.

I work out for at least an hour with weights every day and make sure i get vegetables or fruits.

lol online bmi calcs....they suck, they say im 22, when the real devices tell me im 9%, which is what i am.

Do you mean 9% body fat? BMI is a different measurement.

I scored 80, a C.

I have health issues related to obesity which I need to work on. I should stop smoking tobacco too. I think I am going to switch to gum soon.

I've lost 12 pounds over the last 3 months, maybe I can continue gradually losing weight. I really need to exercise more too. The good spot is that I usually eat plenty of fruit, veggies, and whole grains. I very rarely eat meat. My diet would be healthy if I did not eat so much and I cut down on junk food.

According to the calculator, at the worst point of my IV meth abuse I had a BMI of 11.9, hardcore :) 6 foot 2 and 93 pounds for a male, that was awesome.[/QUOTE]

im sorry, that does not deserve a smiley. i know guys at 5'5" 150 pounds who are too skinny. im 5'2" and when i weighed 93 pounds i got harassed for how skinny i looked. and im a girl, dude.

put some meat on ya ass!!

i eat relatively healthy, dont smoke, hardly ever drink, and work out regularly. so i think physicallyim in good health. a little on the skinny side, but im working on it.

mentally is a different story lol
