how have the new codeine laws in australia affected you?

since we can no longer just go in and buy 4 bottles of 100x10mg codeine and 500mg paracetamol off the shelf and go on our merry way and CWE them, we now are limited to buy a max of 30 tablets with the consult of the pharmacist only!!!


I havent bothered doing codeine since, but it used to be a major stop gap for me when i ran out of oxys, tramadol, poppys etc.


Has this seriously affected anyone you know or you yourself? im interested to know how many people will not have the knowledge/cash/drive to get more opiates, and get mysteriously "sick" (im assuming there are a lot of codeine addicts who didnt know it until recently, cause this happened to me early on in my codeine using days),


and what percentage of people are driven on so much by the pull to seek opiates that they will find a way, thru legal means, or doctors, or street heroin and oxys.

Are u sure about the 30 pills at a time thing?
I bought a pack of 40 pills but they were the green tabsules. they are crap to dissolve wont buy those again. (without ID) I havn't seen the 50 bottle of chemists own pain pills. (the good ones that dissolve easy) Since the regulation.
Are u telling me I can no longer purchase the 50 bottle of Chemists' Own? (That's like the best & cheapest brand which dissolves the easiest.)
I suppose the best thing to do is to buy a 12 pack of panadeine extra (15mg Codeine/500mg Paracentamol) & than go to another pharmacy to buy another pack of those (Have bought these without ID.) Or maybe go to one pharmacy, get a pack of N+, than go buy another pack somewhere else.
Isn't Ibuporfen a little harder to dissolve than Paracetamol?
Can't u still buy the 48 packs of N+?
I get panadeine forte (Prescription), but only sometimes. They are best to use with CWE.
I don't know what the big deal is about Codeine.
I think they should be resticting the Paracetamol containing products, not the Codeine. I rekon fairly weak addiction is better than kidney & liver failure IMO.
Sounds like the Codeine addicts are going to have to go pharamacy shopping to buy a few of the same product. Really just costs more money.
ppl could always resort to drinking the OTC cough syrup Rikodeine that contains Dihydrocodeine but I'm in no hurry to try this stuff again unless someone figures out how to extract the Sorbital
