How have drugs HELPED you out in life...

Dont you think all this enlightenment might of happened over time with age, dont get me wrong I have had a few ehphifany moments on drugs and they have made me a much more tolerant to all different types of people, makes me laugh on here, when someone have had a crazy idea, for instance Mugs and his language, the shit he got for that, so what let him run with it, who really fucking cares if its making him happy and taking up some of his time!

But some members like to nit pick keyboard gangsters I call them!!
 
I honestly think that when people are "enlightened" they don't feel the need to share the fact that they are with the world as that would take away the very essence of the enlightenment IMO. I think there probably are a ton of people who are enlightened but just have no wish or desire to share that information with people. Certainly noone that claims to be actually is. If you were to ask an enlightened person if they were enlightened they would spout back some riddle that asks a question of yourself rather than say "duh, yeah, of course I am" 8)
 
I just tend to think people are worrying about reaching "enlightenment" which seems to mean..."er..something vaguely like something the buddha once said 2000 years ago and I read a book the other day...but you can't get it immediately no, that would be too easy wouldn't it...it's like A-level exams, you have to study for 34 years..."

If there isn't one person on the earth today who you can point at and say "He's enlightned" it's a good bet the entire theory is horse manure.

enlightened people are not going to share their wealth(probably wrong word) because they have no need or desire too. Just because you don't know anyone that you can point to and say "He's enlightened" It doesn't mean that there aren't people out there that are.
 
MDMA=Enlightment

I took it for the first time last yr and it was truly mind-blowing (I was told it was pharmaceutical grade- we were with Doctors btw8o) I simply couldn't believe such an awesome high existed, and believe me shortly before this (approx 5 months) I had what I would consider one of the best feelings I'd naturally ever had and likely will ever have in my life, and that was still way off comparing to MD. MDMA is astonishingly good and It is the best feeling I can hope to ever experience.
 
Are you on the road to enlightenment SHM? Or have you given up the chase?

Perhaps the buddhist saying should have been "Be ye not attached to possessions - unless someone pinches your fucking goat".

Sorry been offline for a bit and not kept up with this one which is a shame as it interests me what other peoples views are.

Enlightenment can mean many different things for different people and since we cannot genuinely experience what being someone else is actually like it's all a bit difficult.

I have some beliefs but I'm not sure I can translate them into words - I guess I believe we are all fully enlightened and its just life than can hide some of that information from us, turn our heads the wrong way or just give us blind spots, we all know everything there is to know on all levels its just accessing that information.

We are part of the universe we are made of the singularity that formed it and hold all its secrets, one day we will all rejoin the energy that caused that singularity to come into existence and form what we try and see around us today.

Fek I'll be growing my hair long next;)

If you're talking deep insight into the meaning and purpose of all things...there is no meaning and purpose. And if there is then its certainly not on our behalf.

Rightly or wrongly Heroin has helped me by giving me quite a carefree attitude.
Now I only worry about things that really need worrying about whereas before I would worry about stuff that hadn't even happened yet.
 
There are no 'enlightened' 'people', as what is meant by enlightenment is abiding non-dual awareness. In other words, realising on a bodily, experiential level that there is no person, no you; just this; consciousness streaming. Free falling phenomena, for nobody. Read: tony parsons, jed McKenna, David carse to name a few who explain this process. Tolle is up to his armpits in bulllshit IMHO.

Enlightened people share their wealth all the time, through action and words - inspiration.
