How fine does the powder have to be?

First time doing methylphenidate. I handled the pills following a guide but I think the powder might not have been fine enough since I don't really feel any effects after snorting two 18mg concerta pills and putting the coatings under my tongue. I'm drinking alcohol with it so could that also be a reason to me not really noticing the effects?

I'm 97lbs and 5'9ft if that matters at all

Concerta is rather difficult to abuse. You have to make sure that you get the correct part of the inside of the pill, which is closer to the hole drilled in the capsule. Iirc that contains the methylphenidate as well as the coating which is a bitch and a half to get open. For snorting generally the finer the powder the better and the osmotic component of the inside of concerta may interfere with absorption but I'm not sure on that part

I don't know much about Concerta, but pure methylphenidate definitely abusable. It's very active insufflated. It less "euphoric" than amphetamine, but very functional and actually smoother/less jittery at high doses IME.

I hated it as a kid, now I think I prefer it to amphetamines if I'm trying to get work done. Methylphenidate seems to interfere less with my overall cognition so I can still do complex equations etc, write a research paper etc.

I'm 145 lbs and I would def be feeling that dose. if concerta itself is the issue i would take it orally, if it's ER and I was going for fast onset etc, I'd crush it up as much as possible. That goes the same for snorting powders.

here this one should work, as I said the quality is garbage but u can see what the bigger chunks look like. The paper is A4 for scale.

Hey, thanks for the tips! Yeah, I can see why the powder might not be fine enough from the pic. Try crushing it up more and see if that makes a difference. And yeah, drinking alcohol might be affecting how you feel the effects too. Maybe try it without the booze next time and see how it goes.

Concerta is basically unsnortable without extracting the methylphenidate from the skin and core. Really gums up otherwise.

I've had success bashing the pills in a coffee grinder (blade style) and dissolving them to get IR methylphenidte. I've also had success boofing the slime produced by reconstituting a concerta with 5 mls of hot water, and it works but the optics of boofing a thick white slime draw comparison to other bodily fluids.

Yea concerta has half of its core which absorbs water and expands to push out methylphenidate from the hole in the shell at a controlled rate. I figured that part would cause absorption problems with snorting

If you're 5'9 and 97lbs you should not be using stimulants. Is there a health issue? You don't need to answer if you're uncomfortable but I'm 5'7 and 126lbs and thin so your weight at that height is very concerning
