How fast does tolerance go down for opiates?

I was wondering how long it took for tolerance to go down for opiates.
At first when I started trying Codeine I took 250. Nothing happened, so I waited a few weeks then tryd 300mg. Again, nothing, not even drowsiness.

So again, two weeks later, I upped it to 350. I felt something, but not much, maybe a warm little buzz. I stopped using Codeine for few months then dosed 400mg, which had me feeling very good. This was the highest and most euphoric experienced I've had with 400mg.

The thing is, I'm really paranoid about dosing. I seem to think that if I dosed 400mg and wait 2 months that dosing with 400mg again will be too much and that I'll OD. Is this possible? Does tolerance go down this fast?

I was thinking of doing Codeine again tonight, but I'm scared to do 400mg, even though I know it will be an amazing experience.

Should I be worried about dosing 400mg or should I just go for it? Is there a possibility of me OD'ing on 400mg Codeine if I've done it before (2 months ago) with no problems at all?

Not to be an ass but I'd appreciate a quick answer on this, I'm bored as hell with nothing to do LOL.

codeine ceiling dose i believe will prevent most if not all cases of OD. only so much of it can be turned into morphine and its self limiting. to drop tolerance, well...either completely quit for at least several weeks or dramatically reduce dosage for similar tolerance decrease. also, seeing how codeine is quite a weak opiate, stepping up to hydrocodone (if you can get it) may be just what you need. be warned though...stepping up to stronger opiates is how many people have gotten into quite a mess. be safe.
