Just curious... because it seems we have a lot of unsatiated female bluelighters here..... and yet conventional wisdom states the male's sex drive is generally higher than the female's.

Let's see if that's truly the case. Answer honesty, please! Only people in relationships.

Edit: you can also vote if you're not *currently* in a relationship but have noticed a definite trend one way or the other in previous relationships. :)

I always want it more and over and over but my partners tend to get worn out quicker then i'd like *pouts*
 
well im not in a relationship so i wont vote yet, but in my sexual relationships i ALWAYS want it more than the guy does. i have a very very high sex drive.
 
Me and mine have a relatively equal sex drive untill drugs get involved. When he's on it he is extremely horny while sex doesn't really concern me. Don't get me wrong, once we get started I'm really into it and we some very nice sessions, but without some kind of stimulation first, sex just isn't something in the forefront of my mind. I think I feel like by having sex I'm wasting my peak. For me the sex feels equally great a few hours after the gears starts wearing off, so why not make the most out of the high and then get involved in sex later?
 
I think that males drive to have sex with as many different partners is greater, but if you have a female that loves you and likes having sex with you she wants it all the time.
 
I would be happy having sex once a week. Maybe twice. My husband likes it everyday in some sort or form. About three days of the week i tell him to just make it his hand and his porn site and i usually compromise by doing something with him the other four days.
My husband is the greatest lover and the sexiest man in the world to me. He is the man to rock my boat. It's just i don't like my boat being rocked that often.
 
i think i have a little bit more of a sex drive than he does... but generally he gets the point if i start molesting him... heh

I remember one time him specifically closing his eyes and getting sleepy, actually i think 2 times, and me intentionally getting all subtly on his body, kissing rubbing and such, to get him "awake" in that aspect.. heh. What is he going to do when im actually at my sexual peak?... I have no idea
 
Me and my guy are equal on the sex drive issue, and we are such persistant bitches we will tease until we get what we want if the other isnt in the mood ^_^
 
Mine is definitley higher. I can get it when I want (more or less) but I don't count that because it is not her saying "damn, I want some", but rather her placating my desires.
 
i have yet to meet a guy that can keep up with mine...but at least my b/f makes an effort :)...im about the same with my g/f..but its harder for us to get together...
 
Another unsatiated female here, but that's known. I think SLM and I were sexual soulmates in another lifetime. ;)

In the middle ages, women were considered to have a much stronger libido than men. They were seen as uncontrollably horny. The idea that men are hornier than women is actually a very RECENT cultural phenomenon, probably stemming from the Victorian era.
 
And ideally, it would be 1-2 times a day for me. My partner would be happy with about once every ten days I'd say. We end up compromising like beanergrl and her husband, for the most part (except that I don't masturbate).
 
I have to honestly say that i have a higher sex drive than my boyfriend... but mostly i tend to leave it alone in order to keep peace within our relationship :) I guess its the fact that im in love that my libido has risen over the past 7-8 months... as described earlier... which is probably a huge factor to why i crave it more than him :)

But generally we're about equal, with some days ill be off my nut.
 
I voted equal.

At the moment my drive is higher because my girl is under a lot of stress, but there have been times when the situation was reversed.
 
i voted equal as well. the guy I am dating and i seem to want it at the same time, and we last pretty long and are satisfied when we are done. We are also very compatible in the KIND of sex we want. (rough, slow, anal, third party etc.) we have yet to run into a problem like that.

We used to be quite equal... but the last 6mths or so have been pretty hard on us and I am constantly wanting it more than him.

Can put alot of pressure on the relationship... kinda makes you wonder if they find you attractive etc, even tho he swears it isnt that. You start to doubt yourself when things change even tho you probably shouldnt be :\
