How Does YOUR Oxy Tolerance Work?

I'm just wondering how each person's Oxy tolerance works.

What does did you start at?
How long did you stay at that does before you had to increase?
How often thereafter did you increase and to what doses?
If you've ever quit, for how long, and what effect did it have on your tolerance?

I am weird with drugs. I build tolerance incredibly fast and lose it almost as fast. I started with 20mg. After a week it was 30mg. Two weeks later 40mg. Two weeks later 50mg. I did 50mg for a few weeks (not every day, maybe 3 times a week) and quit. When I started again almost a year later, it was 30mg. I used every day and pretty much went 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100, each week. Then I quit for a week, and started back at 50 again. Rinse and repeat.

I managed to avoid any WD while using Oxy and Hydro for over 6 years on a near daily basis.

I had actually convinced myself that I wouldn't be able to become addicted.

Just because you have been able to drop off so far doesn't mean it will stay that way.

the best advice i could ever give you is to NEVER go from 3 times a week to every day.

If you stay at occasional levels you may never end up screwed, but once it becomes daily you may never get all the way out.

I got tired of being sick all the time with short acting opiates and tried to switch to methadone short term to try and quit........It took so long to stop the sickness that I just ended up addicted to methadone......

At one point I had slowed to 10-20MG a day and used tremadol to help with WD.......It took 6 weeks of that before the sickness went away but I ended up right back on it within 6 months.....

The cravings never leave from my experience.....

If you aren't getting sick already, run as far away from opiates as fast as possible.........I wish I could...

This is good advice, and it may explain why I have never experienced withdrawal symptoms.

It's weird, though, because I know that at some point I must have used three days consecutively, and even still I haven't experienced withdrawal.

But I won't use regularly, and I save it for on the weekends now.

3 days in a row isn't long enough.....

My first WD symptoms came after 2 weeks of straight use.......Not that it couldn't happen sooner but that was me...

I used for 3-5 day periods many times without getting sick.......that is why I was convinced it wouldn't happen...

My Dad has been a opiate user for 30 years and never been fully hooked so I really thought I was safe.

You are never safe IMO..........Just remember to ALWAYS take a couple days off between and never go more than 3-5 days straight if you are going to continue using.

If I were you i would walk away altogether but i know how it is......

The best thing you could ever do is quit and stick to just weed and rarely anything else........But I don't expect many people to take that advice...

The worst thing that could ever happen to you is to get a hold of an unlimited supply of opiates.....

When I got with my ex and she started getting large scripts regularly was when my life when to crap. I went from a few days at a time to always having access.........It was all over....

The high stops coming and the sickness starts.....

I haven't been high in over 4 years, I just avoid getting sick.........When I am lucky.

I'm on Suboxone to prevent sickness but it will be easier to get off then Methadone. Methadone was awful to get off of, I switched from Methadone to Suboxone when I got down to 30mg (you have to taper that low) but once I went cold turkey from 130mg and I was doing nothing but puke for the first week and the withdrawals lasted like a few weeks.

I managed to quit methadone once last year for a while after tapering down to 10-20mg by using a ton of ultram and smoking a lot of weed...

Even then I couldn't eat or sleep for a couple of weeks and lost 30lbs....

After all that I only managed to stay off for like 2-3 months and then my dumb ass was back on methadone....

The cravings never went away once I stopped using the ultram....

i had always thought them to be totally worthless myself and something docs would try to pass off instead of real drugs....

When I was trying to quit off of only 10-20mg of methadone a friend of mine gave em to me and I just figured what the hell, I am sick anyway and figured it wouldn't help at all..

But by the next morning i was in better shape.......I took 2-300mg a day for 2 weeks and it lowered the sickness to a lvl that I didn't feel like offing myself.......

I don't know why it helped me and not you.......maybe it was just that I was tapered down so low?

I was shocked that it helped and snatched up some more........I was able to stop altogether for a while......

It didn't give me any type of buzz but seemed to help the sickness.....

Started with key bumps of 80 powder every few hours to get a really mild buzz, probably like 2-4mg at a time, moved up to bigger bumps (6-8mg) after two weeks of this, smallish lines (10mg) after two weeks of that, and then I was doing anywhere between 40-80mg a day or 8-16mg of hydromorphone until I quit.

Did about a point of good H over a few hours and got really fucked up three weeks after quitting. Then a week later I did another two points over two days and didn't get nearly as high as before. Haven't tried since, and I'm not going to for a while probably

I see people starting at 20mg Oxy's right off the bat. I would have overdosed if I did that.I tried 5mg oxy a year ago & still have not gone past 15mg in 1 day after a year.

You my friend have a very low tolerance.....

I could take twice that very early on and nobody could tell I was on anything.....

Yes I do, but I dont take oxy every day tho because I dont like that energy boost it gives & it depends if I wanna be in that mood. I switch between vicodin & oxy. As far as my tolerance, yes it was very low when I started & it is still considered low by everyones standards.

First time I tried a Vicodin was 10 years ago & it was a half of a 5/500 & I got nauseated & dizzy & almost threw up & didnt touch the stuff until this past summer again. I had tried a percocet back then as well & it was worse for me, so maybe thepast 10 years something changed in me chemically which allowed me to accept hydrocodone & other things altho I still gotta go light.

It amazes me how someone goes from using 10 or 20 mg the first time & then withing a month they are snorting 80mg's a day.

First time I tried an oxy, it was a 15mg IR by qualitest & I cut it up in 4's which is like 4 mg's per piece. I took 2 pieces within an hour & I was nodding & had to lay down, couldnt handle it.

Everyone's body really is different......

That's why there can't be 100% firm rules on the subject...
