Benzos How does Phenazepam stack up against Valium?

I think phenazepam > valium in regards to anxiolytic and hypnotic effects. I find phenazepam kills anxiety much like ativan and alprazolam do, only without the "fun." Although a nice, comforting and relaxed feeling accomplies it's anxiolysis (at recreational doses) which is difficult to put my finger on considering the amnesia that also rears it's faceless head.

In short, diazepam is WEAK compared to phenazepam. I'd have to take at least diazepam 10mg with gf juice so 15mg to feel anything close to 0,5mg phenazepam feels to me.

^I agree with the above posts, the effects of phenazepam are IME stronger than just about every other benzo. Some benzos put me in a lighter mood... Phenazepam is like taking a bulldozer to my mood, very intoxicating for sure. I prefer diazepam to phenazepam for this reason. I agree with the comparison to clonazepam, I'd say phenazepam is a bit more intoxicating though (or at least more intoxicating in the sense of perceptible effects).

Phenazepam is also extremely amnestic, this may make it a poor choice for daily/ regular use in many people.

True. Phenazepam is actually quite a lot like clonazepam, I mean it can easily cause amnesia taken even in a dose 4-5 times the regular dose (like it's 2mg of clonazepam for a non-tolerant person and such a person is out). But I don't find clonazepam hypnotic at all and phenazepam is a good anxiolytic but it also has some pronounced hypnotic effects one feels. But it's different from lorazepam or estazolam (both also so much different) that used to be my benzos of choice when I was younger and my addiction was totally uncontrolled.
