I am new to morphine in general, especially ER medications. I was switched from Percocet 5/325, 4 x day, to 15 mg morphine ER, 2x/day. I personally don't think it's strong enough, but it's not bad either.
I believe I was told they start lower to start new medicine? Or something like that.
I am the one who requested to go ER, but I was cut off Percocet, that I thought I'd get for some breakthrough pain if needed. So if I'm stuck with one medication, it has to be strong enough, and then some.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Btw, in an attempt to feel "good", I have taken a total of 60mg ER morphine, 1200mg Gabapentin, 1 mg Clonazepam, 400mg Tagamet, 500mg of naproxen and 1.5 liters of tonic water with quinine. I feel slight sedation, but nothing like nodding or any type of high like I remember.
Anything will help. Thanks for responding.
