Hi, im 17 years old now. I'm a senior in high school (12th grade) and I have been smoking weed since freshman year (9th grade). Around the end of 10th grade I began smoking more frequently (about 2-3 times per day). I have continued this habit up until now [October 19, 2011]. My question is, How bad does smoking weed effect math and science abilities? I took physics and pre-calculus last year in school and I found it relatively easy. But this year I feel like things aren't as smooth as they used to be. Could this just be my paranoia getting to me? Or does weed actually impact science and math skills significantly? I could care less about damage to my short term memory, as long as that wont affect my math and science. BTW, does any of this apply in the long run? because I'm afraid of permanent damage and I'm worried that starting in 9th grade was a bad decision. I WOULD LOVE FEEDBACK. I have been dying to get this question answered.

hmmm.. I am sure there are threads addressing this very thing. I suggest searching the cannabis forum for words like "memeory" , "short-term" or even "cognitive".

You did not do permanent damage to yourself by smoking at that age - I started when I was 12 and I am now a double major senor in college (psychology / psycho biology and phil)

Please try using the search engine! There is a ton out there to calm you down - it was most likely not the pot - just you :|
