i want to try heroin for the first time and its not gonna be at home so i wanted to know if heroin makes you like stupid and if someone tries to steal you or rape you are you still able to react run or do something about it...i mean i dont want people trying to steal my stuff while on heroin....if someone tries to do something wrong will i be able to stop him while on heroin ??...thats all....i know it would be better to do it on a safe place but i cant really do it at home and this first time is probably going to be at night at some place like a park or somewhere in this big city and i dont want people trying to rape me like it happened when i did ecstasy !

Not trying to downplay your story, maybe you did come close to getting raped. But coming on a forum and saying you 'almost' got raped proves to me that you didn't come that close. Heroin is a totally different feeling than MDMA,and any other drugs excpet other opaites in high doses..Do it around people you trust and be careful with it,you can OD if you do not know what you are doing.Find someone who you trust and knows about heroin to do it with..

Disregarding all this talk about whether or not you were or were not almost or fully raped, to say that heroin "makes you stupid" suggests that the stupidity already exists. This is supported by the notion that, should you truly have placed yourself in a situation on a substance in the past where being raped was at all a possibility, you would choose to do a heavily sedating semi-synthetic opiate in a dimly (if at all) lit public location for your first time.

Perhaps a better way to word your question would have been "is it a good idea to do heroin for my first time at night in a major metropolitan park?" to which the answer, by anyone's standards, should be a deep and resounding "NO."

Apologies if my reply sounds harsh. But this is a harm reduction community. And by being so indiscriminate with your choice of set and setting, as well as preparation, it appears as though you know little to nothing about drugs or the drug culture in general. Do yourself a humongous, monumental favor and abstain from trying heroin at all. And if you're one of those self-righteous people who come here to ask such ridiculously silly questions, intending to go through with it regardless of what you receive by way of a response, then god help you.

Instead of asking vague and uninformed questions of people with little ability to judge your intent, do some serious research on any and all psychoactive substances you might want to ingest. Bluelight is an excellent such resource. Try Erowid.org, drugs-forum.com, and the Lycaeum, too.

The first thing you need to know about heroin is that it is very easy to fatally overdose from it if you are not exceedingly careful, especially if doing it alone and for your first time. Sit back and think about the implications of ceasing to exist, and all for the sake of a fleeting feeling of narcosis.

If you have zero opiate tolerance, heroin should not be your first choice for opiates. It might not make you stupid, but trying it in a park or any other public location would be "stupid". If you insist on trying it, there are a few things you should remember, number one would be that once you do it, you may never look back and you WILL be sorry. trust me these guys were not flirting with me while i was laied on the floor totally unconscious and almost overdosing but anyways a friend saw what was going on and helped me...and i dont know why everyone is making such a fucking big deal of this...i dont even know why i said that and thats not even the answer to my question...i mean i just gave an exemple of what could happen on heroin too and just wanted to know if there was a possibility of someone trying to steal me or rape me since i wouldnt be sober and able to react......belive it or not it happened but thats not what the question is about and i dont see why people are making such a big deal of it...your answer was pointless and useless.....but who gives a fuck if nobody can answer such a simple question that means im gonna have to fugure it all out on my own...and about me being raped or not....why should i care about someone i dont even know that never even saw my face knowing i almost got raped on X....i dont really give a fuck abuot what you or anyone else might think about that!!

I'm not trying to disprove your story, but I can't imagine ever being unconscious from taking ecstasy and smoking weed. I can barely sleep after I've come down from using E and smoking usually makes me feel higher on the E far more than feeling tired. I also have almost never heard of an OD from MDMA, usually the fatalities come from overheating and heart issues from heat and an elevated heart rate. Are you sure you had taken ecstasy and maybe not some other drug that you were told was E?

As for using heroin, not to insult you, but you seem very naive to the world of drugs. If you had such an issue with being in control of yourself on another drug that someone else needed to take care of you, the last thing you should be doing, especially if you're worried about being violated, is taking any drug alone, at night, in a public park. My suggestion is that you not do such serious drugs until you better learn your limits, better learn safe practices for using drugs, and learn how to stay in control of yourself while under the influence.

I have to agree with everyone else. Trying
H in a park is a bad idea. Trying H at all,
is a bad idea. I've been using H for about
6 months now and its FUCKING awful. I hate
myself right now. And coming off of it is
HARD AS FUCK. I wish I wouldve never tried

If you don't take our advice and use H anyway,
like everyone else said, do it with someone
you trust. Chances are, you could very well
fall asleep, thus having your shit stolen.

If you just have to try an opiate, try
hydrocodone, oxycodone, or even codeine.
Take one and go from there. Find out what
is right for you. Don't do what everyone else
is doing, that's how you get into situations
like your X story. Sometimes you will find
that less is more.

Oh and by the way, having a shitty attitude
when someone tries to help you won't get
you very far in this forum, or in life in
general. You asked a question, you didn't
like the answer. No need to get all defensive

Please don't try H in a park. I know I

It doesn't sound like you've ever done any Opiates before; try starting with Vicodin or Percocets and see whether or not you even enjoy it.

All Opioids are addictive, but chasing dope is probably the most addictive route of administration for using perhaps the most addictive Opiate. It's almost a guarantee you will like it, and you'll want to do it again and again because chasing only lasts about five minutes before you find yourself wanting more. Just something to think about.

youll be fine smoking it dont worry. You wont OD, and as long as you take a few hits then wait ten minutes to see how you feel before smoking more youll be ok. Keep in mind that theres a very good chance youll be puking a few hours after smoking though.

Firstly, +1 for BayBeX in general....since OP, your post sounds like some dumb 15 year old girl who is just trying to be cool. If you want to experiment with drugs, its important to be somewhere safe. We are a harm reduction website, we hope that you do some research before doing any drugs, and that you come on here to ask questions. This isn't really a question though, you just want us to tell you that it's fine to do heroin in a park at night not with people you trust, and you aren't going to hear that. Even threads I've made have gotten some negative criticism but it's part of being a member on a forum.

Don't toss around the 'rape' term, and I have actually said (been flamed) in other threads for saying that girls who do what you did deserve it since they clearly didn't watch out for themselves, and I would prefer to leave 'rape' for women who have been violated and keep it a secret, not scream from the rooftops about it. And you clearly don't even know what the side effects of heroin are, so I would do a lot more research before you decide to try it out.
