Benzos How does amphetamine and Valium mix?

I was wondering, since the effects alcohol and speed don't compliment each other at all and end up just making me feel sober, would Valium work instead? Basically I recreationally use 10mg but that leaves me too lazy to actually talk to people and far too sleepy. How would speed effect the high? Would it behave in the same way as it does with alcohol and just cancel out the Valiums effects?

And what about the opposite? Taking 5 (maybe 10?)mg of valium with my normal dose of speed (aprox 150mg of what I get, I can't tell you what sort of purity it is since I've only ever used this stuff although I generally have a low tolerance to most things) would that make me less restless (I don't particularly get anxious I just can't hold a conversation for very long).

I suspect that this is probably a dumb idea and the two won't really go together very well at all, but you never know it might end up being wonderful.
 
If you don't like the nervousness-edginess (which I think are crucial to the amphetamine high) 5-10mgs of valium will take care of that. If you take too much benzos it'll completely ruin the high. It will be far less euphoric. (IME)

Not to sound like an ass or anything, but do you really enjoy amps if you can't take them without benzos?
Do you take benzos chronically? Or just on occasion or when on amphetamines?

I used to be hooked on amps, I was constantly amped out. The euphoria and feeling of well-being was soo great back then.

Then I got GAD, and since then amphetamines were never the same. I, like you, have to take a benzo with it to reduce the shitty side effects. I'm almost tapered to zero on the benzos (xept these past few days, I've been overusing them) and I actually feel like I could get the euphoric rush from amphetamines again. Haven't tried it yet but I intend to soon.

Amps while on benzos was fun, but missing quite a few factors.
 
Like others have stated it'd only be worth it if you get anxiety from the amp high. It won't work like a poor man's speedball, if that was what you were thinking.

not by a long shot, improvised speedballs are done with opiates + amps/coke. In which case you don't really want to add benzos in until much later if you have the tolerance for it.
 
Tricomb, I know you're kidding around, but that's exactly how I would describe Dextroamphetamine + Valium.

Dex + Xanax (or any other short-acting, powerful benzo) is like putting out that fire and being left with no useful steam, but a touch of Valium is very nice when feeling edgy off the amp.

I was quite anxious yesterday and took a minute amount of Valium sublingually with my prescribed dose of Dextroamp. Normally, that much Valium would do absolutely nothing, but it added a relaxing edge while keeping my cognitive facilities totally intact.

I would keep your ratio to 1mg Valium:10 mg D-amp/D-meth if you don't want to put out that fire.
 
Okay so consensus is that the two don't mix but Valium can take any anxious edge of the speed? What about using a tiny bit of amphetamine to keep me awake when taking Valium and smoking weed. The two make a lovely combo I find but I end up falling asleep pretty much straight away? I doubt it will work too well though, I've had tokes whilst on speed and I think that was the first time I was genuinely anxious to be in public and on drugs.
 
Don't hate on booze and gear, that's my choice combo when I'm out and about in the social scene! Piss keeps me relaxed and gear keeps me sharp. Booze also helps me with the comedown. Weed and gear though, that's just pissing on fire imo. Get some foul smelling steam as well further down the track... Can't help you with your original question unfortunately.
