How do you make the extended release oxycodone into an instant release?

Can you just crush the beads / pill up? will that work or is there a "proper" way to do it?

That would depend on what formulation you have but if it is one of the new ones you wont be able to make it IR just by crushing it and crushing it is a pain in the ass all by itself.

I have the OxyNeo formulation and I just split it into several pieces with a hunting knife and then chew them and it works sometimes faster.
