How do you know?

How can you tell if that person will make you happy?
How can you know that this time it won’t end?
You probably still remember the pain of the last time
So is it worth it to try again?
I used to be a believer,
I used to think that you know
But after looking around me
It’s hard to tell anymore.
So should we trust our gut feeling?
Should we try and go with the flow
Or should we hold back and be careful
The answer to that I’ll never know.
I wanted to stop believing,
So I won’t get hurt anymore,
I almost succeeded in it,
I almost gave up hope.
But then something happened,
Nothing I can really explain,
Something that changed my viewpoint
And made me believe again.
So maybe I’m naïve and stupid,
Maybe I live in a dream world,
But who can really judge me
In a game there’s no right or wrong.
I guess this has no answer,
I know I will be wrong
But when you really think of it
Who really wants to know

yeah it sucks getting hurt when you are totally into someone... but if we never take chances we might miss up our chance at love.
