Opioids How do you know a cold water extraction (cwe) worked?

Soon I'll be getting alot of hydrocodone 325/10s I want to do a cwe but last time I did I used 500/5s and I still couldn't piss when I drank it, so I dont really no if I did it right. I'll prolly be doing a cwe with 11 325/10 and I want to know how you know you did the cwe right?

You will know if it worked if there is a bunch of white sediment left behind in the filter. If there isn't any left behind, then the filter you used was not fine enough, or the water temperature was too high.

this, and it's okay if the water ends up a bit murky looking but you should be able to see through it.

If it's still milky, let it chill again and filter again. Use a fine filter, coffee filters should work pretty good, don't be lazy and use a shirt because it's quicker. It's only quicker because apap is getting through instead of stuck in the filter.

EDIT: and yea as tricomb stated below me, opiates have a bitter taste, apap just has a chalky taste.

They often come out as cloudy because they usually contain whitening agents such as Providone and Titanium DIoxide.
 
Okay well there was definitely a ton of white gunk left behind last time I did it but I used a t shirt but I accidentally let the shirt and gunk drop back in on accident ( I was nodding off and on) so I let it chill in the fridge and re did it again do you think I went about doing that right?
 
Yeah if you fuck up, just filter your entire solution again. Just make sure to use coffee filters instead of a shirt next time if you can't get real filter paper.

I knew I should have jacked some of those from my chem lab! I throught, "fuck it, they're probably just standard grade coffee filters." I don't even abuse hydros, they're just nice to have on hand. I would CWE prescribed dosages of 10/325 hydros in the past when I was drinking, though.
