How do you dose LSD correctly?

Hi, I'm a very newbie here and never take any drug at all. I'm looking forward LSD by the way. About that, I read about taking 20 microgram or 80 microgram. How could you be so sure about the dose? How do you correctly dose the LSD?
I'd prefer a very low dose (near to no-effect level) for my first time. I heard you can split the tab into 4 piece or more and take just one of them. But at the same time I heard you have to be careful because tabs are not immersed homogeneously into LSD.
How should I dose that?

You cant be certain on the dose its pretty hard to gauge the strength to an exact ug. Either way test the waters and take a half and see how u go. You can always take the other half another time. Testing the strength of tabs is the only way to find out what dose suits you. Good luck with your trips. Low dose trips can be very fun so don't worry about going in head first as you can always do it later.

YMMV but personally if you're new to LSD I'd just take a full dose of it. I did that and I don't regret it. I later had lower/moderate doses and those were enjoyable but I wanted to try moderate, low, and even ultra low doses of LSD since I'd taken a very large dose of it.

On very low doses like 20ug like you said you want to try the first time CharliePig, you're not going to actually trip either mentally or even get visual effects of the drug and it may be more like a stimulant.

I would not recommend anything less than 2 hits of nice acid for your first time. This is what I tell to my friends who are dosing for the first time, and none have regretted it. The reason I think this is because (assuming that it is real acid) it will kick in relatively quickly, which is where most first time users experience the most anxiety. If you are tripping hard, the anxiety will go away more often than not. You are taking the acid to experience a chemical like none you have ever, and in order to do that, you need to cross the threshold and be ready for an excellent ride!

20ug is just a silly thought of even dosing for first timers 100percent dose over at least and i mean at least 100-120ug of very good acid

Threshold dose is -never- silly.

Whether or not you consider such safety precautions practical or not is another question.

In an ideal world, first you confirm substance and purity, then you allergy test if you've never tried it before, then you threshold dose (in case you're over sensitive) if you don't know your sensitivity, then you up the dosage from there.

I generally skip allergy test (majority of people do), but I always try to get a threshold or a very "light" dose for my first run of any substance if possible.

Always possible to take more... never possible to take less after the "fun" has begun.

Well, my idal trip would begin in this way
1.) Start by preparing anything you think you'll need for the trip(procure some good music, set the lights appropriately, and have some cannabis ready, etc.)
2.) Place tab/gel/liquid on or under tongue
3.) Sit quietly in meditation for a few minutes to prepare the mind.
4.) Enjoy :D

Many people take sub threshold doses of new compounds to check for idiosyncratic reations.

do you have any point besides trying to show off the size of your balls ? you have a sack of LSD? you must be making a lot of money.

to the OP i applaud your caution regarding psychedelics. i'm not sure how i'd react had i not ever tried any other drugs, but i had two tabs my first time, went out into some fields and was fine, you should be fine with a whole tab your first time provided the right set and setting but you sound like quite an open minded person who isn't going to have all their preconceptions ripped apart in a most uncomfortable way so not much to worry about.
