How do I tell the difference between MXE and K?

Ive been looking for K for some time. Everything I get offered is MXE. What reagent test would be best to use? Or are mxe and K so similar in chemcial structure that reagents would be useless?

Interesting question, I'd like to know how to distinguish them as well besides subjective testing.

The only thing I can offer is that they taste very different. K is very bitter while mxe is milder and more metallic tasting.

An important thing to know is that the doses are very different for each drug. You need a lot less MXE, which is a mistake a lot of people make. (Or they think it's k and do way too much and get caught in an overwhelming m-hole or suffer from severe negative effects.) If you're going to do MXE, start out with a low dose... I'd say about 20mg or so.

I have to agree. It is very powerful and you should definitely work your way up so you can asses it. Taking too much can quickly turn into something very unpleasant.

As far as telling the difference though, I can't think of a good way to test it. It is structurally similar to Ketamine so it would be interesting to see if it would show different results with a reagent.

Play safe with MXE it is a different animal from ketamine.

Knowing that MXE is more potent and needs smaller doses doesn't help if you've been sold a random powder as K, so it's not really a good answer to the question "How can you tell the difference between them?".

Taste as described above, all MXE I have seen has been white / off white colour. Also a good way is to test it by doing like 20mg's if you feel something definate chances are its MXE as it is a lot more potent. Start small if you suspect your K of being MXE and you'll be able to work out if its MXE or K hopefully and if not, maybe you will just enjoy lowish doses of MXE. You will regret it a lot if you don't start small, the doses are a lot different between K and MXE and if you take MXE sold as K you will definatley know about after that first line.

K tastes like electric ice.

MXE tastes like slightly salty but numbing drip.

Snorting a line of MXE thinking it's K must be an awesome experience ;)

Also MXE is always powder unless someone has recrystallized it. Ketamine is usually crystals unless someone just cooked up some vials. It's pretty easy to tell the diff.

What about the difference in appearance and the nature of the crystals? I've only had MXE - don't even think I've seen K (dissociatives - if that is how you spell it? - don't like me). Is there any difference there? Can you be more specific Blue?

Normally MXE off-white tan colour so thats can give you some pointer. The slower come up, and stimulation can also be other pointers, but mainly the lenght, around 3h-4h, while K is 1H with after effects

Your best indicator is the duration. MXE will last several hours, whereas Ketamine will be over within the hour.

Take 20mg and if it gives you mild/moderate dissociation for several hours then it is MXE (assuming it is only either MXE or Ketamine. Remember there are other dissociative compounds on the market too, but it is unlikely they will be substituted for Ketamine). If you take 20mg of Ketamine, you might not even feel anything (especially if you took it orally), and if you do, it will only last an hour at maximum.
