How do i stop upper stomach pain from codeine

I was wondering does anyone know what i could take to relieve stomach pain while i am on codein(tylenol 3&4)? i recently noticed that the t 3 and 4s have given me bad stomach and chest pain. this has never happened before when i take codeine.but in the past i usually always had used the cough syrup stuff instead with no problems.codeine/promathezine. i just think its weird that now outta nowhere i get this pain.maybe i should eat tons of food first,i really dont know.oh and does anyone know if a low hydro dose would help?or would it be bad to mix codeine and hydrocodone?

Well, it is odd that the Tylenol w/ Codeine is causing stomach and chest pain. Maybe it is the APAP, you said codeine normally doesn't do this. If it is the APAP, then throwing hydrocodone in the mix would just make it worse assuming the hydrocodone has APAP with it, and it is the APAP that is causing the pain. Perhaps it doesn't have anything to do with the Tylenol w/ Codeine, and you are just experiencing indigestion. I really don't know.
 
i didn't do Cwe. but i take hydros sometimes and they work great but lately codeine does this to me. its weird. i was wondering if i could take somethin else also to help the feeling of pain indigestion . i have read online of others with same pain but not much info at all
 
How much APAP are you consuming with those Tylenol w/ Codeine's? Too much could be the culprit, I'd try CWE if you are taking a lot.
 
TBH Codeine isn't worth the hassle and most preps come with Paracetomol, the buzz isn't that great, maybe you stopusing if this continues
 
ok thanks . its just weird cuz i feel great when i drink the codeine promathezine syrup.but when i take the codeine pills i get this weird chest stomach pain. i didnt understand why.but i havent gotten the syrup in a while. and i take hydros occasionally that have apap in them and i have no problem with them
 
i think its just a coincidence...you would have to do chronice fucking amounts of apap for it to affect...shit alcoholics dont feel it for decades...
 
I hope you're not drinking alcohol on this stuff. What you might be experiencing is liver pain

No, you start to feel it after using acetaminophen daily for awhile. What do alcoholics have to do with acetaminophen? As a former alcoholic the last fucking thing I'd want is some nasty APAP. Wouldn't touch the shit. You know an alcoholic does when they get headaches or other shit acetaminophen works for? Drink more.

Same here, but he won't listen to me when I say the reason his liver hurts so much is because the damn acetaminophen. He says no its because of this...or that. He eats up those T1's like skittles. They have caffeine but he could still do a CWE for acetaminophen. I told him how to do it but he says its a waste of time. He's taken up to 15 grams or more. And this is daily.
 
I dont drink on pills.i have years ago but these days i worry too much to do that.the mixin i mean..i try to be more careful. ya i might stop takin them. the cough syrup works fine.i need that stuff. maybe the promathezine in the syrup helps ,i dont know. its just weird that i cant take the pills now. and the pills had no caffeine also
 
just have a couple of quickeze , can get them anywhere from newsagents to service stations to lolly shops, that will neutralise the acidity, its basically some kind of chalk/calcium that temperes down the acidity.
 
Whn doing codeine that is mixed with APAP or ibuprofen, and your taking more than a couple of tablets, do a CWE. How many tablets are you taking a day?

If your getting pains it is probably the APAP, try doing a CWE and see if the pain is gone. Taking too much APAP will fuck up your liver
 
maybe i am allergic to codeine.but i dont think i am cuz the syrup never makes me feel that way.even though codeine is weak.the syrup is amazing to me
