The Opioid Withdrawal MegaThread and FAQ
^It has a HUGE amount of information on various ways to get thru opiate withdrawal. It also talks about OTC medications and other things you can use to potentially alleviate some of the symptoms.
If you've made it three days already, don't give up now! Personally, every time I have detoxed, the third day is typically the worst and after that things start going back on the up-slope.
It certainly isn't easy, but making it three days is a fantastic accomplishment in itself. You shoudl be proud of yourself, but don't ruin it now! You can do it man, have a look at that thread I posted and try and utilize some of the techniques to make yourself feel a bit better.
Also, cocaine and alcohol are probably the two WORST things you could be taking during withdrawals; they may make you feel a little better while you're loaded, but once it wears off you are going to feel 100 times WORSe than you would without them. The hangover, dehydration, increased blood presssure/heart rate, increased body temp, etc are all major things which are going to make you feel like complete horse shit. I strongly recommend laying off the blow and booze. You need to make sure your body is in as good condition as possible to aid the recovery process during detox.
I've been thru withdrawals numerous times (at home, hospitals, in jail a few times, etc) so if you want to talk or need some more specific advice regarding anything, or just need someone like minded to talk to to help you get thru it, feel free to toss me a private message and I'll be glad to help you out.
Good luck man, stay strong!
