The here and now
I'm 20 years old and feel like I need a xanax script if I ever want to get anything done with my life. I can't communicate with people, I can't go out in public. My nerves are always bad and I have very bad social anxiety and just general anxiety where I just hate my life and my body and want to die. In social situations I start shaking and sweating. I've been this way since I was a kid. I've had people accuse me of being on crack because how I act in public. I also don't really have any friends.

Getting high on xanax or kpins were the only times I've been able to just relax and let loose and not care.. I need a script but I don't even know where to start. I know doctors are hesitant to prescribe this stuff because it's addictive and they're only supposed to prescribe it temporarily and then get you off it but nothing else really works. How do I even find a doctor to go to? How do I convince them I need a script for this stuff? How long do you think it will take for me to get one? I don't know anything about this kind of stuff I just know I've felt like my life has been passing me by while I struggle to make it through the day with a smile on my face and I'm sick of it...

Please tell me everything you know about this I really need help.

There's only one way, explain your symptoms to a doctor or shrink and hope they give you what your looking for. Chances are they won't, and they will throw SSRI's at you for days (if your in the US at least). Don't ask for benzos straight up, your 20 years old and most doctors won't hand those out so easily to youngsters. Play their game, say your taking their meds and keep listing side effects associated with SSRI's. After trying out a bunch they may or may not just give you a benzo, you may get shitty buspirone, or you may even get off label shit like neurontin.

Keep playing the game and hope for the best. That's litterally all you can do. With that said this thread will probably be closed as i'm pretty sure these threads are against the rules. Good luck, I have GAD and have never been able to get a benzo prescribed. I'm sure it's because I'm only 21, but I just turned to the internet for benzos. I personally wouldn't use them enough to build dependence though, at least not so fast. I already had small taste of dependence and it sucked. I would try all other methods before going on benzos, have you tried kava? Hydroxyzine? Kratom? Valerian? Kratom causes dependency no doubt, but the withdrawal lasts like a week and I'd take kratom withdrawal over benzo withdrawal anyday. It's also more functional, mood lifting, and doesn't screw with your cognition.

Yes, xanax is fast acting short lived and highly addictive. If you do choose a benzo maybe another one or something else, another gaba drug.
I had those symptoms then discovered I was hyperthyroid once…
Best of luck to you, sorry you are in this place.
Anxiety was worse than depression for me looking back… Insomnia is the worst, that sometimes came with it. Neurontin is a possibility and/or sometimes docs will prescribe blood pressure meds even. Bp meds lower heart rate and reduce anxiety in high stress situations. Not to be taken all the time though of course.
